Which home teeth whitening have you used and what was the results like? Whats your best products?

Unfortunately it's not on the market anymore and I can't figure out why because it actually worked. You may be able to find it on Ebay, I know I have seen people selling it before as kind of closeout sales but this was a few months ago. The product was Colgate's Simply White gel that you brush on. The key in using it is to apply it to clean teeth that are dry, dry them with a towel, apply it and keep your mouth open for about a minute to allow the gel to dry. Peroxide (active ingredient in the Simply White) is in most tooth whitening products and in order for it to work it's best it needs to be applied to dry teeth. So you could just use a q-tip and hydrogen peroxide and whitening your teeth that way, it's safe to use orally. When peroxide is applied to wet teeth it doesn't work because it just waters it down and the peroxide won't adhere, therefore being quite ineffective. I would assume the case is true with any other whitening product such as the strips and trays. I haven't tried them, only the Simply White. I don't have anymore so I just use the q-tip and peroxide method, it works just fine. It's also best if you don't eat or drink for at least a half hour after whitening your teeth so you don't take off the peroxide/sollution.

get crest white strips pro! they are amazing!! they whiten your teeth so fast! there is really a difference after the first use. put the strip on for a half hour (follow the directions) and then after you take them off used the crest pre-brush whitening rinse and then brush!
Reply:the crest is ok but it doesnt fully dissolve like after 20 or 30 minutes u have to pull out the rest on the strips...but the listerine works well after 1 use and actually does dissolve...

There are several types of products available for use at home. Some of these tooth whitening products can be easily purchased off the shelves of pharmacy while others are dispensed by your dentist.

One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.
