Anybody used teeth whitening products?

which ones really do work?

Anybody used teeth whitening products?
I don't have any teeth. So, I don't use any.

But my advise would be to get the dentist to whiten them thoroughly for you first.

Then get something like Perl Drops to maintain them.

Much easier this way.
Reply:I use liquid paper

it's cheap

and I don't think they can tell...
Reply:not me atleast.
Reply:My mate uses one called perl drops.

Apparrantly they really do work but are intended for smokers.
Reply:yes me and colgate works the best. also listerine mouthwash.
Reply:i use colgate whittening. it works perfectly.
Reply:whatever you do, don't get your teeth bleached, it can ruin your teeth, it kills your enamel
Reply:my teeth is white... :-D
Reply:I have tried Crest White Strips. THey do work over time and so easy to use. I did not like the overnight kits.

Please comment on how white your teeth look..

But also I can remember the brand name but the product has two trays, one for the upper and lower teeth. You apply the whitener to the trays and insert them in your mouth for 20 minutes. That worked the best, but it's uncomfortable.
Reply:I've used the Crest whitening strips before and they whitened my teeth a little, but not much. I did have to stop early though because they really made my gums sensitive.

Lately, I've used the brush-on whitening gel from Crest and it's a lot cheaper than the strips and seems to work just as well, if not a little better. Also, since you paint the gel onto your teeth, you can kind of keep it off your gums
Reply:There are a number of ways to whiten your teeth.

Prevention is better than cure, so to start off with try to avoid (or keep to a minimum) Cigarettes, Tea, Red Wine, Coffee and anything else that you consume that you know discolours your teeth.

To whiten your teeth, obviously there are the standard tooth pastes, followed by abrasive toothpastes which, as they suggest, can wear away enamel, and there are 'kits' with gels you insert into a mould and then apply for 20/30 minutes.

Neither of the above are the sorts of things that will give you 'pearly white teeth' but each (you can tell which is supposed to be more effective by the price) will make some improvement.

Dentists provide tooth whitening which really does work but can cost (in the UK) about £600. Not all dentists agree that this is a 'good thing'. The jury is out on that one.
Reply:dental assistant here..."Zoom" in house bleaching...ask your dentist.
