Crest White Strips, they run anywhere from 20-35 i think
Reply:a tooth brush =D
Reply:Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://www.aches.in/toothwhitening.html
Reply:Crest White Strips, not sure about the price.
Reply:well u should really call the dentest that is what i did too and it helped a lot i really had a very bad OVERBITE!!!
Reply:crest white strips work if u follow teh rules and use it enough. But tehy make my gums (personally) verry sensitive so i don't use tehm but it has worked on ppl i know and i don't think they had sensitivity, it depends on the person regarding sensitivity. Its best to put them on with no tarter or gingivities on ur teeth etc.

Reply:Few basic home teeth whitening methods, followed by people throughout the world are given below:

1) Rubbing a paste of lemon juice and salt on the yellow color of the teeth is a great method of erasing the dull color of the teeth.

2) Rubbing the inside of an orange peel on the discolored teeth allows them to take on excellent white luster.

3) Brushing teeth daily with a paste of bi-carbonate of soda with water, erases the stains on the surface of the teeth.

4) Dried and powdered Bay leaves mixed with dried orange peel are also a great whitener.

Use any of these home teeth whitening methods frequently, to yield great results.http://www.freewebs.com/getanswer/HomeTe...
Reply:One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.

What any dangers/risks using home tooth-whitening products?

Probably a little sensibility to cold or hot

What any dangers/risks using home tooth-whitening products?
No risk, just dont waste the money! I have found that if you brush your teeth like normal with toothpaste.....afterwards brush with Hydrogen Peroxide - (yes it will a bubble), do this 3 times a week and in atleast a month, you will see a difference........I have done this since I was 16 and I have perfectly WHITE teeth, AND i smoke tobacco!!!!!!!! so its got to be working or my teeth would be yellow

Whats a good over the counter teeth whitening product that actually works?

Crest White Strips. Just follow the directions and you will get acceptable results.

Whats a good over the counter teeth whitening product that actually works?
Do the Crest Premiums, I tried the Aquafresh and they weren't big enough for my teeth. And people say how little and cute my teeth are! So they definitely wouldn't fit normal-sized teeth. Crest Premiums aren't as strong but you DO want your entire tooth covered, not just half!!
Reply:crest whitestrips work great follow the directions and you'll see them pearly whites

What is the best teeth whitening product you have used?

I'm curious

What is the best teeth whitening product you have used?
Opalescnece by Ultradent Products. I've used it personally and prescribe it frequently for my patients.
Reply:since i am very conscious on how my teeth looks, i have tried a lot of teeth whitening products but only one works for me. I only use Maximum Teeth Whitening. it gave me desired white teeth results in a matter of days. It sure does is effective and safe for i did not experience bad side effects. it will give you more reasons to smile for it cost only a fraction of what dentists do for teeth whitening. now i gained back my confidence and it helped boost up professional and social life.
Reply:Here are many ways that you can whitening your teeth!

For home remedies.

Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form toothpaste. Brush the teeth regularly with this paste. It will remove all stains in a month.

Use bicarbonate of soda 5 minutes before brushing the teeth with normal toothpaste in the morning. This is a good home remedy for teeth whitening.

Rubbing the bark of walnut tree on the teeth helps in removing all stains from the teeth.

Strawberries are considered natural teeth whiteners. Rubbing the teeth with strawberries daily will remove all the stains.

If you would like a suggestion on tooth whitening gel, here's something for you!

Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel (about $18.00) allows you to remove stains while you sleep. The tooth whitening system has a fresh, wintergreen flavor. After fourteen days of sleeping with this product on your teeth, you will wake up to a vibrant smile. You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night

Gurl, these work like a charm!

My teeth were 2x brighter after putting those strips on.

U only need to put them on for 7 days--2 times a day- for 30 mins
Reply:dear friend of mine i'am not a dentist i'am a naturlist ordontiast no product can whiten your teeth the best way do whiten your teeth is by using crest pro health and brush with colgate 360 tooth brush 3 x a day
Reply:I use Crest Whitening Strips, do not try the cheaper Walmart brand they do not work. I also use a good electric tooth brush, this helps naturally whiten your teeth. When I finish with the strips I use Crest Vivid White tooth paste to give it that extra boost. I use the strips every 6 months and have always been satisfied.

What is the best teeth whitening product on the market?

Tried Crest white strips and i could barely see any results...

What is the best teeth whitening product on the market?
Crest WhiteStrips are the most effective over-the-counter product. The strip holds the agent on the tooth better that the paint on gels.

In office, the best results I have seen are with Zoom, although I have seen some cases that turned out unnaturally white.

It's possible that the WhiteStrips had a minimal effect because your teeth are already as white as they can be naturally. Try to avoid going too white; you teeth end up looking like Chiclets. It also depends on your skin color. If you are vary fair, then bright white isn't quite as unnatural looking. For those of us with darker complexions, the ultra-white teeth can look silly.

Visit a dentist for a consultation, but my inclination would be that if the WhiteStrips were used properly and had no effect you might not need whitening.

In office treatments also tend to cause more sensitivity because they use stronger agents. If you have it done, make sure they make you fluoride trays.
Reply:Crest white strips are the most popular with my patients. I like Pro-white, which is basically just a strong hydrogen peroxide gel. You can find it at any drug store. It is about $4. I am a huge fan of pro-white gel because it gets rid of all of my coffee stains. I have naturally whiter teeth though. Some people try whitening products when they actually have internal staining or flourosis. They wont get the desired results that they want because it is not a surface issue. Dentist provide specialty care for this microabrasion (used for flourosis), or veneers (used for internal staining and/or structural loss). They also make custom whitening trays or in office zoom whitening. These are pretty expensive but they don't create as much sensitivity issues that the strips can cause. Honestly I think they whiten as well as the store products. That is my opinion.

Reply:without having it done by the dentist the best one I have %26amp; am using is Rembrant Stick. I use there tooth paste also. One of my friends asked me if I had my teeth whitened. You do have to remember to use it everyday. I love it. It right with the toothpaste. You just brush it on.
Reply:Primer. If it doesn't kill you, you'll have the whitest teeth around
Reply:I like Crest Whitestrips Premium. They're easy to use and the results are long lasting. I only do it about once or twice per year, and they stay nice and white.

Can anyone tell me a good teeth bleaching product that i can use on my own. from where i can buy it in Delhi?

dear

firstly would you pls mention ur location so that i can suggest you a gud dentist..

secondly, to add to your knowledge.. there are two types of bleaching

1. office bleaching

2. home bleaching

one should perform self bleaching only under the supervision of the qualified dental surgeon. i can advice you good bleaching agent but cant .. reason is that i dont know how much your teeth are discoloured %26amp; wat is the cause of it.. the bleaching agent is acidic in nature.. it might result in white patches if not done proeprly.

TREATMENT OF SUPERFICIAL ENAMEL DISCOLORATION

Tooth bleaching can be a good first step for treating certain kinds of dental staining problems. It is usually reserved for a mild, uniform, discoloration of the teeth. The bleaching is time and dose related. The bleach oxidizes the organic pigments in the tooth, breaking down the long-chain stain molecules.

TREATMENT ACTIVE AGENT INDICATIONS FOR USE POTENTIAL PROBLEMS

* In-Office Vital Bleaching Hydrogen peroxide 30-38% is applied directly on the teeth. A special light may also be used to accelerate the whitening process. When there are only a few discolored teeth. Temporary tooth sensitivity. Gingival irritation.

* Overnight Vital Bleaching Carbamide peroxide 10% is used in a custom tray. When there are multiple discolored teeth. Effective for yellow, orange, or light-brown discoloration in primary and permanent teeth. Temporary tooth sensitivity in 55-75% of cases.

* Whitening Strips Hydrogen peroxide 6.5% or 14% is delivered via a thin, flexible polyethylene strip. Multiple discolored teeth. Works slightly better on upper than lower teeth. Temporary tooth sensitivity and oral tissue irritation.

other treatment is Veneering...

you should consult the dentist to know the severity of discoloration... later you can do home bleaching..

Is there a good teeth whitening product out there?

Crest Premium White Strips work very well. Before I used them I was an occasional smoker and drank a lot of cola, and those strips really brightened up my teeth. Now I use Arm %26amp; Hammer dental care toothpaste with baking soda and peroxide to keep them white -- my dentist (who is my uncle) recommended it.

Is there a good teeth whitening product out there?
Yes and you have the whitest teeth I have ever come across.
Reply:Crest White strips is what my dentist recommended if I wanted to whiten my teeth at home.

What is a good teeth whitning product from the store?

I want something that actually works and is easy to use.

What is a good teeth whitning product from the store?
yes, but the strips take long time, though is the only thing that kinda works,,,,
Reply:Crest Whitening Strips are the best and are pretty affordable. I reccomend getting them at Costco. You see the results pretty quickly, but be careful, it can make your teeth a little more sensitive. If you use this, I recommend using a sensitive teeth tooth paste.
Reply:dont waste your money make your own...WHITENER:

A great teeth whitener is to mix equal parts baking soda and sea salt, then brush your teeth with it. It leaves them feeling clean. If you cannot use the salt due to blood pressure problems, that's ok, just use the baking soda and it should work the same. Rinse mouth with warm water afterwards

flip flop style

Is there an over the counter tooth whitening product that will whiten veneers as well as your natural teeth?

Nope. nearly all commercial whiteners are peroxide-based, meaning they only work on organic materials like real teeth.

Is there an over the counter tooth whitening product that will whiten veneers as well as your natural teeth?
Nope, unfortunately not. I would suggest whitening your teeth to the desired brightness, and then have your veneer(s) replaced with a shade that matches the natural teeth. If that is not an option, then don't whiten at all, as those newly whitened natural teeth would heighten the contrast of the veneers.

Any way to whiten teeth without having to go out and buy a teeth whitening product?

1. Models are told to sip through a straw to protect their teeth from stain-makers like coffee, cola, tea and red wine.

2. Concentrate on foods that act like detergents and whiten teeth naturally. These are generally foods that require a lot of chewing like apples, celery and carrots. Other foods can act like a barrier on teeth by creating a film. Broccoli, lettuce and spinach are foods that prevent stains from recurring.

3. Take a couple of strawberries and mash them in a dish or bowl. Then, taking your finger, spread the pulp all over your teeth. Leave it on a minute or two, and then brush it off thoroughly.

4. By now, most of us have heard of whitening strips such as Crest Whitestrips. These flexible strips that you apply directly to your teeth are similar to the peroxide gel that dentists use during their bleaching procedures. They promise to whiten teeth in two weeks, and the results last up to six months.

5. Make your teeth look whiter by using a bright shade of lipstick. The color contrast will make your teeth look like you’ve had whitening treatment.

Any way to whiten teeth without having to go out and buy a teeth whitening product?
I use Imagewhite this stuff really works good for whitening your teeth. I only used it 4 times and i am stoping because i am so happy with how white my teeth are now, my mom said you look like a star... You can buy the stuff at www.imagewhite.com . Hope this helps you out Report It

Reply:Put baking soda on your toothbrush and scrub(without water), but don't let it touch your tonge.
Reply:You can brush your teeth 3 times a day.Don't spit out the toothpaste until you finish brushing.Use an antiseptic mouthwash after each brushing.Don't smoke Don't drink coffee Brush at least 5 minutes and use high quality toothpaste. My son's teeth are white as pearls and this is how he does it.
Reply:Brush and or rinse with Hydrogen Peroxide but DO NOT SWALLOW. If you don't believe me check out the ingredient on Listerine's teeth whitening formula.
Reply:Try baking soda powder. Place a teaspoon of baking soda on your palm, dab the wet brittles of your toothbrush and brush teeth. Let is stay for at least a minute. Do it at least twice a day.
Reply:I read the craziest thing in a magazine recently...maybe Jane magazine...burn a tortilla (consider doing this outside on a BBQ) until it is totally black and charred. Crumble it up and mix it with your toothpaste and use it to brush your teeth. Then get back on here and comment. Tell me if it worked and if the taste was so awful that you puked. Good luck!
Reply:LOL

Drink lots of salted rim margarita's. Biting the lemon will etch your teeth and the salt will wipe off the surface layer stain. Your teeth will get white, but you may have other problems after achieving the results you want.
Reply:Some people are saying use Hydrogen Peroxide... even if you don't swallow it, it can still be harmful if you do it daily... so avoid that. ;)

What Inexpensive Product can i use to whiten My Teeth ?
Mix equal parts hydrogen peroxide with your mouthwash once a day. I've been doing this every day for a few years now and have very white, pretty teeth. As a side benefit, I also have had less colds and sore throats since I started doing this.

BTW, Don't mix it ahead of time, though. Do it at the time you are ready to gargle, swish, and spit.
Reply:just get your teeth whitened by your dentist

Can anyone recommend a good teeth whitening product from Boots???

How long does it take to use/work?

Thanks

Can anyone recommend a good teeth whitening product from Boots???
there has some bad press on this product of late - ask at Boots for a recommendation
Reply:Get it done professionally - over the counter teeth whiteners are NOT good for teeth. Why risk your teeth, which you should ideally have for life, for vanity? Save your pennies and speak with your dentist - you sound young, so chances are your teeth are a perfectly acceptable shade anyway. In the meantime, cut back on coffee and red wine which stain them.
Reply:try the dentist.

Whats a good way to suggest a teeth bleaching product to someone with teeth that look like kernels of corn?

play on his insecurities. ask him if those yellow teeth come with any special powers, like the ability to spit butter.

If he's black, tell him that when he smiles, he looks like he's wearing a pittsburgh steelers helmet.

Either that or just let the man be. A lot of times yellow teeth are a sympton of never having been taught to take proper care of your teeth. Just try to teach your own kids to take care of their teeth, it's easier to mold the habbits of a child then to change the habbits of a man.

Whats a good way to suggest a teeth bleaching product to someone with teeth that look like kernels of corn?
Ask them if they ever had a teeth bleaching. If they say 'no', say "I thought not".
Reply:Corn, or maise as the native South Americans would have it, is the staple diet of many rural communities throughout the world. I think you have your answer.

Does the rembrant two hour teeth whitening product work?

Haven't tried that brand, but I do recommend Crest White Strips. It only took me a few days to notice a change, and if you keep up with it for the recommended 14 days, you'll notice a dramatic change.

If you have really sensitive teeth like I do, do NOT get the Crest White Strips - Professional. My dentist warned me, but I tried anyways and they made my fingers and gum get white and bubbly. It went away after a few minutes, but don't risk it. Use the White Strips - Regular or Renewing instead. :)

Is there any teeth whiting product that I can make at home?

1) Brush your teeth like you normally do

2) Dip your tooth brush in aprox.1 teaspoon of baking soda, and brush throughly

3) Do not rinse after brushing with baking soda

4) Place one cap full of 3% hydrogen peroxide (the little white cap that comes with the brown bottle)

5) Swish it around your mouth for aprox. 2 minutes, spit it out...do not swallow.

6) Wait at least 20 minutes before drinking water.

Do this everyday for pearly whites, it worked for me!!

Reply:The Pearl Drops product tastes good and the bottle is cool, but I don't think it is that good for tooth whitening and does seem to have abrasiveness in it which could be damaging. If you are a smoker you might try Topel toothpaste. My dad used it for years to remove tobacco stains from his teeth.

For tooth whitening, it would be better to try one of those over the counter whitening products that come in a gel peroxide bleach form or go to the dentist.
Reply:use 3% hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth ,,its cheap and safe and its what all companys use in their whitening process..save money
Reply:i'll tell you this much! Tooth paste whiting is completly fasle advertizing. they can say it whitings because it has peroxide but it isn't on your teeth long enough to really have an effect! Like at the denist when you get a tray made and professional products that are $350.00 you still have to leave the stuff on for atleast an hour. I know because my sister in law told me and she is a dental hygentist

I am looking for a tooth whitening product that won't hurt your teeth?

I used rembrandt and crest before and they hurt so much when you drink cold stuff.

I am looking for a tooth whitening product that won't hurt your teeth?
All tooth whiteners will cause some sensitivity - before using them use a desensitizing toothpaste for a couple of weeks, e.g. Sensodyne. Use a high fluoride mouthwash as well (such as Oral B's Fluorinse) if you have sensitivity. Also the toothpaste can be rubbed into sensitive teeth a bit like an ointment and allowed to soak in overnight - don't be too generous with it just burnish it into the sensitive spots. Continue to use the Sensodyne for a few weeks after whitening.

If you find you are very sensitive then instead of using the product on a daily basis only use it every other day or every 2 days. It will take you longer to attain your desired degree of whiteness but it won't be as uncomfortable - continue with the desensitizing toothpaste during the days you are whitening.

Before you use any new type of product on your teeth, you should discuss the use with your dentist.

If he/she feels that tooth whitening will not harm your teeth, he will discuss various methods and products that might work for you. But first and foremost, see your dentist.

What's the best teeth bleaching product to use at home?

I'm a tea and coffee drinker...

What's the best teeth bleaching product to use at home?
Crest whitestrips. The 3-5 day ones. Just remember they work best if you have your teeth cleaned regularly b/c otherwise you will just whiten the buildup on your teeth. Also, only to be used at most once every six months or once a year. Just be careful not to get them on your gums. If this is impossible, apply some vaseline on your gums first. It may make your teeth temporarily sensitive for a week or so following use. A fluoride rinse will help with this. After whitening or before bed, swish, spit, do not rinse/eat/drink for at least 30 minutes. Or, sensitive toothpaste, brush, spit, do not rinse/eat/drink for at least 30 minutes or you will rinse all the active ingredient off and it won't work. The whitestrips work for most people, but if you don't get the results you want with these then you need professional whitening so don't waste your money on anything over the counter.
Reply:I always felt crest worked the best....i was shocked with the results when i first tried. I tried alquafresh its easier to use but it didn't get my teeth as white as crest.
Reply:Lemon juice, baking soda or baking powder can also be used for teeth whitening. Strawberries are natural teeth whiteners, simply rub them directly on your teeth or mash into a paste and apply.More remedies and information regarding your teeth at http://useinfo-dentalcare.blogspot.com/
Reply:The bleach compound recommended by dentists is called carbamide peroxide. So make sure your product has that, you'll be ok otherwise.

Reply:Crest White Strips work all right. I've tried them a couple times. A few things that arent good about them are:

They taste AWEFUL

Very uncomfertable when they are on

You're mouth produces alot of saliva when they are in, and herefore causes them to slip around.

They made my tounge numb

And, the cause very apinful sensitivity. My teeth and gums hurt so bad after the first two days that i stopped using them both times I tried them.

Listerine has whitening trays now. They stay in place, dont slip, no sensitivity and work great. They are also less expensive than whitestrips.

hope that helps!

Can anybody recommend a teeth whitening product?

Do any of them actually work? I've been using whitening toothpaste for 3 years and its done sod all.

Can anybody recommend a teeth whitening product?
crest white strips work well for our patients--some of the suggestions are way to abrasive (salt, baking soda) you don't want to damage your enamel that IS the white part of the tooth

Also use a good mouth wash, that works tooo...

use it my self once a week , can see results straight away

Good luck
Reply:I personally prefered Crest's Vivid White Night toothpaste and the Whitening moutwash... I thought they did quite well....

I've tried the products that you used to paint on your teeth and then the strips, and the strips have an awful taste to me, so I personally think that if you're consistant with the toothpaste and mouthwash, it does the trick to give you a whiter smile, and it doesn't have such a bad taste. Hope this helped.
Reply:Don't get the strips at all, or anything over the counter. Have the trays made by your dentist and buy the bleaching solution from him. It comes free with the tray, then you can buy refills if you want more. They come out more even than the strips. Trust me, I see it happen all the time! By the way, you can't bleach caps or crowns...they stay the same.
Reply:Brush your teeth twice a day and use mouth wash but you can wet your toothbrush with water and then dip it in bleach and then pour some baking soda on it and that works.
Reply:To get your teeth whitened, with quicker, visible and healthy glowing results, then, this best method for teeth whitening is just a click away! Reply:As a leading dental negligence solicitor here in the UK, I am often consulted by clients who have used tooth whitening treatments, either off the shelf, or given to them by their dentist, but then suffer with terrible sensitivity from their teeth.

You must be very careful with whitening products as some of them can be very strong. This is also a hot topic with the GDC at the moment.

I would advise you to speak to your dentist before you use a whitening product.
Reply:I would suggest www.perfectlywhite.com . Its under $70 and shipping is free. My dentist (best friend) suggested it to me. This is where he gets his whitening gel. It whitens your teeth safely in just 7 days.

What is a good teeth whitener product? Are they safe?

Thanks for any opnions I can get in this.

What is a good teeth whitener product? Are they safe?
I get Consumer Reports Magazine and the 2 top rated last year I believe were Crest Premium White Strips and Colgate Simply White Night. I have used them both and would have to agree that they both work well it just depends on your lifestyle. If you can spend a 1/2 hour 2x each day with the strips on your teeth and can afford to spend a little more $ than go with the white strips (make sure you get the premium ones). The Colgate is a gel that you apply before going to bed and that's it... I alternated between the 2, when I had the time I used the strips and when I didn't I used the Gel. Hope this helps
Reply:Don't drink coffee and stop smoking. Your dentist can clean your teeth also.
Reply:Rembraince or something like that....it really works
Reply:CREST WHITE STRIPES WORK VERY GOOD
Reply:CREST WHITE STRIPS
Reply:a toothbrush, never been proven to have side effects....throw some paste into the mix and you have yourself a custom tailored tooth whitening machine!
Reply:What I have found that worked for me is the Crest Whitening Strips...Safe? I would say yes because nothing bad happened. But the side effects do include sore and sensitive teeth for a few days, but the end result is well worth it!

Or if you're willing to spend a lot more, either get a kit from your dentist or the special teeth whitening programs dentists offer.

What is a good teeth Whitening product that is somewhat cheap, and works fast?!?!?!?

you probably saw this one coming.. CREST WHITE STRIPS!! like 25-40 bucks? it really works. it worked wonders on the top and ok on the bottom. saliva snuck under the bottom so results were decreased :(

What is a good teeth Whitening product that is somewhat cheap, and works fast?!?!?!?
listerine whitening mouthwash. it works great and doesn't require weird strips that you have to stick on your teeth. and plus, it's cheaper!

What's the best teeth whitening product?

Honestly, I used Crest Whitening Proffessional (you can get it at your dentist or better yet, on ebay), and it works like magic.I've only whitened my teeth once, and that was a year and a half ago. But even last week someone had complimented by teeth. It's a little pricier than other over the counter stuff, but in the end you save a lot of trouble of having to re-whiten.

However, if you have sensitive teeth, then it can be uncomfortable, then just use the regular Crest. Regardless of which one you use, make sure you use whitening toothpaste to maintain them and try not to drink dark-colored beverages for a month or so.

What's the best teeth whitening product?
Just go to a Beverly Hills Dentistry and have them whiten your teeth. That's the best thing to do. It worked for me.

What is the best teeth whitening product?

hated the strips. They cost to much and easily come off! You basically can't talk or anything with them on....

But...

I LOVE Crest Night Effects...Crest Night Effects is a teeth whitener that works while you sleep, so it fits conveniently into your schedule. You'll have a whiter smile without giving up valuable time during your busy day. The competitive daytime paint-on teeth whitener is water-soluble so it may dissolve quickly. Normal daytime activities such as eating and drinking — even your own saliva — can wash most of the whitener away in as little as five minutes. So while you're waiting for the ordinary daytime whitener to dry, your already-too-busy schedule has just gotten crazier.

Using Crest Night Effects is as easy as getting ready for bed and going to sleep. Just brush your teeth as you normally would.

I saw a difference within days....Its a two week thing just like everything else but within 2 weeks your teeth are so white. People were always asking if I got them bleached...or saying that I had the whitest teeth they had seen.

Here is some information about them from the site...

Crest Night Effects is a teeth whitening system. You'll get a noticeably whiter smile while you sleep over 14 nights.* It even works on tough, everyday stains, including coffee and tobacco. Why is Crest Night Effects so effective at teeth whitening? The secret is our patented LiquidStrip Technology™ coating that stays on your teeth overnight. It whitens teeth at home, while you sleep.

The Color of Your Teeth

When you look at your teeth, the color you see is more than just the color of the surface. Because the top enamel layer is translucent, the color beneath is also visible. And since the things we eat and drink contain coloring agents that actually soak into our teeth, the layer beneath the surface of the enamel becomes stained, too. Juice, coffee, tar and tobacco for those who smoke, all contribute to making your teeth look yellow and dingy.

Teeth Whitening Dilemmas

Teeth whitening toothpastes and products only clean the surface of your teeth and don't have any way to actually whiten the stains below the surface of the enamel. Special whitening systems are available to penetrate the enamel — including paint-on systems. Many of these are water-soluble, though, and mostly dissolve away in as little as five minutes when they come into contact with saliva.

The Crest Night Effects Difference

Crest Night Effects' unique gel forms a LiquidStrip™ coating. The water-resistant coating holds the teeth whitening agent in place, slowly releasing hydrogen peroxide while you sleep. The LiquidStrip coating works to remove stains and loosen stain-causing buildup. In the morning, just brush the LiquidStrip coating and the stains away. After just two nights of using Crest Night Effects, you'll notice a clean, smooth feeling on the surface of your teeth.

How to Use Crest Night Effects

For the best effect, apply Crest Night Effects immediately before going to sleep. Don't forget to review our important tips for maximum benefit.

Do not apply multiple coats of the teeth whitening gel. Reapplication may remove the previous layer.

As you brush it on, you may find that Crest Night Effects does not form a complete or even coating on your teeth. This will not affect the whitening result.

You will know Crest Night Effects is working because you can feel the LiquidStrip coating on your teeth right after you apply until you brush it away in the morning.

You can sip water while wearing Crest Night Effects. We recommend that you do not eat or smoke while Night Effects products are applied to your teeth.

You may find that wiping your teeth with a tissue before brushing in the morning will help prevent the LiquidStrip coating from accumulating on your toothbrush.

Most people find keeping their mouth open for about 30 seconds helps the LiquidStrip coating set.

What is the best teeth whitener product to use?
Listerine Whitening Strips , is really good , and for night you can use the polish you apply on your teeth also by Listerine. I think its suppose to work in 5-10 days.
Reply:I agree with the first asker. I like AquaFresh Whitening Trays also they work fast and you don't have to sleep with them on and they are ez to put on. (No sticky strip!)
Reply:The very best and quickest results you will get from professional in-office whitening when either the Zoom or Britesmile system is used. This takes a couple of hours and costs a significant amount but it is the BEST way to whiten your teeth.

The second best way is to use the take-home trays and use them for a couple of weeks for a couple of hours every day.

The third best way is to use Crest White Strips

Ways 1 and 2 give you recourse if you run into any sensitivity issues in that the dental office is in the best position to advise and treat you for sensitivity. There is a direct correlation between price and effectiveness in this instance!

Sensitivity is a common sideffect of whitening so if you decide to do any kind of whitening for a couple of weeks prior to starting brush your teeth with a toothpaste for sensitive teeth such as Sensodyne. This will build up some of the desensitizers in the tooth structure and help with the sensitivity issues. Also instead of whitening every day try every other day and instead of keeping the stuff in your mouth for the full time, try only half the time. It will take longer to get the result you want but will help avoid too much sensitivity!
Reply:I can't use them, considering braces, so my teeth are all yellow, but I can wait the six months. But I think Crest Whitening and Listerine will be your best bets.

P.S. Thanks for my 1000 answer!

Have you tried home tooth whitening products?

I wanted to know if anyone has tried them . Did they actually work? Also, did you have any sensitivity problems? Can you tell me which brand was the best and why, also how much that brand was. Please tell if it was worth it and anything else you can think of.

Have you tried home tooth whitening products?
According to dental journals, the best over the counter whitening is Crest Whitestrips. If you experience sensitivity, use them less often or rinse right after using them with fluoride.
Reply:I have. I used a night treatment (which you wear as you sleep at night) over 2 weeks. I got married October, 2002, and wanted white teeth for my wedding, and that is exactly what I got. I did buy my home solution through my local dentist. You require to have impressions done which are sent off to a dental technician who creates mouth trays to the shape of your teeth. The cost for these treatments can vary, the cost of the whitening solution is separate from the cost of mouth trays. Costs should be discussed with a dentist (if the decision is made to go through a dentist). Directions for use of a home whitening treatment come with the product. If you wish not to outlay a great deal of money, you can always try whitening toothpastes. I use Colgate Triple Action. If used 3 times a day over a number of weeks, and keep away from things such as coffee, red wine and smoking, it can be found to be beneficial. Was for me.

Does "Go Smile" the teeth whitening product really work?

It is AMAZING. I had discoloration from drinking coffee and smoking and it made my teeth so much whiter. I know it is pricy but after using it for a week, it was so worth it.

What is the best teeth whitening product that is fast and efficient?

I'm not too sure abt it. However, there are many ways to whiten your teeth.

Here are many ways that you can whitening your teeth!

You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night

i have tried a bunch but they don't work well. I am willing to pay $$$$$!

What is the best teeth-whitening product?
I used Crest whitening strips, they worked really well for me. You have to use them for at least 10 - 14 days before you can see the results. If you are willing to spend the cash, go to a dentist, they have faster results but could get very expensive.
Reply:Crest whitestrips are my obsession haha. A lot of my friends and I use them often, and they truly work. One of my friends actually has rock star white teeth (almost too white) from using them.

The thing is, no teeth whitening products will work on caps, crowns, fillings, etc. I chipped my front tooth when I was 7, and the bottom half of it is all filled it. I can't whiten it by products. You have to go to a dentist, and they drill a tiny whole put this whitening bleach thingy inside your tooth. It's not that bad at all, though, it's totally worth it!

Hope this helps!

What is the best teeth whitening product out there?
I got custom fitted trays from my dentist and I'm using their professional white trays. It's worked better than any of the over the counter whitening strips. I have used Crest White strips which tend to slip around a lot %26amp; Rembrandt strips. I know the fitted trays with professional whitenener have worked very quickly and the results are the best I've ever had. See if you can get them done at your dentist office where they can make you whitening trays or look into Zoom whitening which is definitely the quickest way to whiten your teeth! Good luck.

Edit: It only ruins your teeth if you overdo it. Don't whiten your teeth more than twice a year. If you have sensitivity and most people do, try to whiten every other day until you finish.

Yes they do, abstainting from coffee, tea, and soda also help keep your teeth white along with regular brushing.

Do does tooth whitening products really work? If so, which one(s)?
Yes, but none of them will make your teeth hollywood white. You need a dentist for that. They will just lighten your teeth a few shades.
Reply:Yes they work. They work the best after you've just gotten your teeth cleaned at the dentist. Crest whitestrips (the 7 day ones) work great for me. I think they are listed as "premium".
Reply:yes, actually i work in a dental supplier company and we use them, and personally i have used rembrant whitening strips and crest whitening strips , i really liked the rembrant ones, they are used at night for about 30mins, kinda feels like you have a mouth guard in your mouth but it really works!!! but to get the best results do it right after you do a cleaning at the dentist its the best way :) if you cant find the rembrant strips crest will do the same thing! they are both really good :)...but i wouldnt recommend to do whitening at your dentists office because its not good for your teeth, they are less harmful :)

good luck !!

Reply:They bleach your teeth just like in your laundry. One important thing is that all teeth are not the same . what works for one may not work for another. That's why they come in different strengths. You have to start with one to see if it works. If you don't like the results try a stronger one

Whats the best teeth whitening product out there?

carbamide peroxide is the main ingredient and it is different that plain peroxide. the strength varies among different whiteners.

Before whitening your teeth, you should find out if your teeth have thin enamel. This can cause your teeth to have a yellowish or brownish apperance. Whitening will not help in this situation and can make appearance worse and cause sensitivity.

A product called NatureWhite contains carbamide peroxide is supposed to whiten your teeth dramatically with just one 45 Minute application. It is said to be the same thing that dentists use and that dentists use a 12% solution while NatureWhite uses a 22% solution. Crest white strips, by comparison, have a 3% solution.

Chewing on crunchy foods like carrots, apples and celery, is said to cause friction which helps get debris off your teeth that can stain them. There are many old natural remedies and some new natural and/or herbal products, as well as, some chemical products, all claiming to whiten teeth.

The color of teeth comes from genetics originally, and it varies person to person. Teeth will natually discolor over time due to age. The best way to keep teeth as white and you were designed to have, is to avoid foods, liquids, drugs, and products that stain teeth.

Avoid things known to stain teeth, like coffee, tea, red wine, berries, tobacco products, food colorings, etc.... Avoid direct exposure to a lot of raw lemons or citrus products like tomatos, limes, oranges, as the citric acid wears the enamel off the teeth, and when dentin is exposed (like with cavities), it can cause discoloration. If you do eat them, rinse your teeth right away. Avoid carbonated drinks that contain phosphoric acid, like coca cola for the same reason. Sports drinks often contain citric acid, phosphoric acid and organic acid (coffee contains organic acids, also). The latter two are known to break down calcium, along with breaking down enamel. Also, If you eat raw papaya or raw pineapple, rinse your mouth after eating them, as they have enzymes that can cause sores in your mouth and gums, because they break down proteins.

The antibiotic tetracycline is known to cause teeth to stain and so is fluoride and caffeine. Mercury fillings cause teeth to stain where the tooth comes in contact with the filling; This is because of galvanization. So, one should get all amalgams replaced. Gold seems to be ok as long as it is a good quality gold such as high noble, and white composites or porcelain fillings can be used.

Hydrogen peroxide can whiten teeth, but it can penetrate teeth, which are porous, and cause sensitivity. It is used in dental bleaching. It is a special 35% solution, so buying the 2% bottle of it over the counter in hopes to make your teeth white, will not work and could eventually cause sensitivity, irritation, or inflamation of the gums. Myself, I do not recommend teeth whiteners of any kind, for the same reason. If you do decide to use a teeth whitener, either over the counter or from the dentist, if you are not avoiding foods that cause staining, your teeth will stain again, and you will have wasted your money. To whiten your teeth often, will most likely cause sensitivity, enamel breakdown, and can lead to cavities. The long term effects of teeth bleaching on nerves and blood vessels inside the teeth are unknown. Laser bleaching seems to cause more problems with sensitivity than non-laser bleaching. Bleaching does not work on false teeth, crowns, veneers or fillings (even white ones). You may opt to replace those with lighter shades if you don't like the color. Bleaching is not recommended for children whose teeth are still developing or for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

It is important to brush after meals to avoid plaque and tartar build up, which can also cause discoloration. Avoid toothpastes that contain abrasives to fight plaque and tarter, as they can wear away enamel and make the dentin show through (which has a yellowish or brownish tint), which can cause staining, or cavities or cause your teeth to appear brown or yellow. Also, avoid brushing too hard for the same reason. If you do consume products that cause staining, use water to rinse your mouth directly afterward.

There is a technique called internal bleaching. The only way it can be done is to have a root canal, and root canals cause devastating health effects and should be avoided altogether.

The British Dental Association has expressed concern that the smokers' whitening toothpastes Clinomyn and Pearl Drops are too abrasive. Many whitening toothpastes contain titanium dioxide, a suspected carcinogen and can be absorbed by the skin, and, when the effluent containing it is discharged from manufacturers, it acidifies rivers and seas.

Smokers toothpaste, Topol, containing an abrasive form of silica to remove heavy stains from tar and resin deposits can cause damage to cementum and dentin in people with gingival recession, resulting root exposure.

Tooth whitening actually requires modifying the intrinsic tooth color, chemically alterating the chromophores within the tooth. Whitening toothpastes using bicarbonate, alumina and polyphosphates cannot whiten teeth; All they can do is contribute to stain removal. Whitening requires bleaching or enzymatic disruption.

Acid penetration and dissolution has not been an acceptable method of whitening for nearly a century.

Many products claim whitening ability with various peroxides -- hydrogen, calcium or carbamide. For over-the-counter peroxide content is kept low. It has effervescence and maybe some short-lived bleaching because peroxide is rapidly broken down by oral enzymes from bacteria and saliva. Gels stay on longer, but must be used with a tray to work. Only whitening products used by dentists have ADA acceptance. Over-the-counter product manufacturers have never attempted such claims.

Before whitening your teeth, you should find out if your teeth have thin enamel. This can cause your teeth to have a yellowish or brownish apperance. Whitening will not help in this situation and can make appearance worse and cause sensitivity.

There are herbs that have been used throughout history to whiten teeth. Sage boiled in water to make tea was said to strengthen gums and whiten teeth. During the middle ages, powdered mint leaves were used to whiten teeth. Charcoal was touted as the best powder to use for whitening teeth, removing tartar and preventing decay. Other common ingredients in tooth powders included: cream of tartar, camphor, white castile soap powder, cuttle fish bone, precipitated chalk, powdered borax, powdered gum myrrh, powdered orris root, and talc. The majority of these ingredients cleaned and whitened teeth.

Here are some other natural remedies :

Take a teaspoon of lemon juice and a tsp of salt. Make a paste. Apply this on the yellowish tint.

Use the inner white part of an orange peel to rub teeth for a lovely white shine.

Take half teaspoon of bi-carbonate of soda mixed with a little water to form a paste. Rub this on your teeth.

Dried %26amp; powdered Bay leaves combined with dried orange peel is an excellent whitener.

Strawberries, oddly enough are said to have cleansing and bleaching properties that can help remove of tea and coffee stains, especially from dentures. Crush the strawberries gently and rub the pulp onto your teeth. Rinse with water.

There are some new tooth pastes and products with Bromaine Complex, a combination of the natural enzymes, Bromelaine from pineapple, and Papain from papaya, said to be clinically proven to whiten teeth.

Dentizyme is an herbal remedy; it consists of a unique blend of bio-active plant enzymes, organic botanicals, rainforest botanicals, and essential oils. Dentizyme users report fewer or no gum disease symptoms, they also report that their gums look pinker and healthier along with excellent teeth whitening results and teeth stains are said to disappear entirely with continued use of this herbal extract.

This method consists of a mixture of gel and special light wave treatments. The patient is seated and the dentist uses a retractor to separate the lips from the teeth so that the gel can be applied. A special gel is then applied on all the exterior faces of the teeth. The dentist is careful, at this point, not to let the gel touch the patient’s gums too much, as it may cause irritation or lesions.

How long does it last and what effects can I expect?

The answers to the questions are different from one person to another. In most cases, a Zoom teeth whitening procedure is done twice a year. An average person who drinks coffee frequently and smokes daily will have improved tooth brightness - around 10 shades brighter. After the procedure is completed, the teeth will gradually start to regain their yellowish color over time, depending on how well you take care of them. On average, people who went through in office tooth whitening procedures noticed that their teeth stay white for months, although the initial brightness does not last more than a few weeks.

APAGARD remineralizing toothpaste

• According to the Japan Corporate News Network, Japanese toothpaste manufacturer Sangi has developed a technology to control ultrafine particles. The company will start to distribute New-Apagard, a toothpaste based on the technology, in April 2004. Sangi claims the paste is highly effective in re-calcifying and whitening teeth.

Whats the best teeth whitening product out there?
i believe ULTRABRITE toothpaste is the best whitener on the market. Its safe its not a bleach and its under 5 dollars. Also try arm and hammer baking soda toothpaste.
Reply:This answer is actually directed to the Ultrabrite answer. Stay away from toothpastes that are abrasive! The outside layer of a tooth, enamel, is whitish in color. The second layer, dentin, is very yellow. When you use an abrasive toothpaste, you thin the enamel. That lets the dentin shine through, making your teeth look more yellow. The more you use it and the harder you brush......the more yellow your teeth become. So, the toothpastes that are abrasive, (what I call the "sex appeal toothpastes), claim to whiten your teeth when, in effect, they actually make your teeth look yellow!

Whats a good teeth-whitening product I can buy at the store?

crest whitestrips, as mentioned, are great. BUT the equate version of whitestrips works EXACTLY the same, but are much cheaper. Just be sure not to wear them (either brand) longer than the box says to, or else you will end up with VERY sensitive teeth.

Crest Whitestrips.

I believe them to be a little bit overpriced, but they do in fact work.
Reply:Crest White Strips made my teeth amazingly white. The only draw backs were that the gel feels weird and the whitening agent can easily make your teeth sensitive to hot and cold foods and beverages for awhile. It's still worth it in my opinion.

Reply:i really liked the crest nighttime whitening system where you brush it on and leave it while you sleep. i tried crest white strips and they work, but they made my teeth and gums too sensitive. but, if you only do it once a day instead of twice you get the same results with less sensitivity. it just takes a little longer.

any of the crest products seem to work really well. they are a little expensive, but worth it in the end.

Are tooth whitening products okay to use on dentures?

You can use a whitening toothpaste to brush them with (over a sink of water so they won't break if they fall out of your hand) otherwise use just a denture tablet to soak them in. Whitestrips or whitening trays will not change the color of the dentures since they are created by a lab and are color stable. I would recommend that if you think that they have stain on them to have your dentist or hygienist clean them with a solution in an ultrasonic cleaner and then they can be scaled or polished as necessary.....In order to get whiter dentures you will need new ones, wish I had a better news about that!!!

Hope that helps!

Are tooth whitening products okay to use on dentures?
They don't work on dentures unless they are part of polident or similar products. The whitening strips don't help.
Reply:Probabaly not. Even if it is safe, false teeth cannot be whitened like natural teeth. Unfortunately if you are no longer happy with the color, you may need to replace the dentures. Ask the dentist anyway.

Best teeth whitening product?

My dentist recommended, and I used, Crest whitening strips. They definitely work and are relatively inexpensive.

The only drawback is that they make some people's teeth sensitive. My dentist forewarned me of this and suggested using a sensitive toothpaste during the period of strip use.

He also told me to NEVER use baking soda or a toothpaste with baking soda in it. I was surprised because this was something I had done forever... Apparently it breaks down the enamel of your teeth.

I also tried Listerine whitening mouthwash. I didn't notice much difference with it and I really didn't like it. It seemed to keep foaming in my mouth long after expulsion. (My hygienist told me not to use Listerine unless it was the new non-alcohol version. She recommended Crest Pro Health or Biotene)

If you smoke and cannot brush after, rinse your mouth by swishing water around. This prevents tobacco build up along the gum line.

Coffee, tea and other caffeine drinks tend to stain along the gum line as well. Again, if you can't brush, rinse with water.

Lastly, a good way to keep them their whitest once you get them there... see your hygienist every six months for a good cleaning.

What teeth whiting product really works?

The Crest Night Strips are really good. Then be sure to avoid teeth staining food or brush immediately afterwards to prevent future stains.

What teeth whiting product really works?
orbit teeth whiting gum it gets your teeth 40% whiter!!!
Reply:Whitining Strips .. orrrr....go to the dentist and get them whitinged there...its really expensive though...well good luck :)
Reply:The best whitner is Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda. Your teeth will be much whiter then anything you can buy over the counter. It is also good for your gums if you suffer from periodontal disease and good for your breath as well.
Reply:The crest brands work good, but whatever you do make sure that the product you do use does not have an acid in the ingredients list. The acid breaks down your enamel, therefore causing tooth decay.

What teeth whitening product should I get from my local supermarket?

hated the strips.

What teeth whitening product should I get from my local supermarket?
I would encourage you to buy Colgate 14days whitening if it is being sold at your supermarket :D .

i've used it %26amp; realised it really works.

Other than using the type of toothpaste, the duration and the way you brush your teeth is very important (: . Brush for a couple of minutes each times. It really do helps :D . My teeth is SO much whiter .!
Reply:Maybe or you can go to pharmacy.
Reply:Whitening strips are the easiest and safest whitening over the counter. Crest, Rembrant, etc. They are all about the same. I prefer the rembrant strips b/c they are firmer and hold in place better but they do not offer as many different kinds as Crest. Crest offers 7 day and 3-5 day whitening strips now, as well as the regular 2-4 week ones. With strips, you place as close to the gumline as possible, without getting the bleach on gums. If your gums come up well inbetween your teeth, you will want to put some vaseline on that gum area to prevent burning of the gums. If you do burn them it is no big deal, just be sure to let it heal before continuing with the whitening. Whitening causes sensitivity many times, so applying fluoride immediately after removing the whitening strips helps. Either apply some toothpaste and spit (DO NOT RINSE/eat/drink for at least 30 minutes), or buy a fluoride rinse and use that the same way immediately after. If you still have sensitivity take a day off. Be sure your dental cleanings and checkups are up to date. If your teeth have not been cleaned, it will whiten your buildup on your teeth instead of the teeth. Also, remember if you have front fillings or crowns, these will not really whiten so watch those areas and get your teeth slightly whiter than those restorations and then stop whitening.
