Have tried a few teeth whitening products and dont find them any good. anyone suggest something thats good?

The crest whitestrips premium are very good! I used them and my teeth were noticably whiter after just 2 uses. After using the whole box, it looked like I had the professional whitening done.

Reply:Ah well i used this colgate, paint on stuff it whitened my teeth in about three days time, after the box...it was beautiful *smiles*
Reply:Teeth whitening products are harmful in the long term seriously.

Havnt you noticed how dentists have yellow crummy teeth when they are peering down your mouth?? Its cause they dont use those products themselves and if it aint good enough for the dentist ...

I heard my grandparents tell me that they used to scrub teeth with baking soda once in a while .... I wouldnt do that without checking though!
Reply:baking soda and salt. rub your teeth with them. But don't do that often to make sure you have teeth to whiten!Try it twice a month and don't forget to brush your teeth at least twice a day, especially befor going to bed. When you are ready to flash your teeth at every little thing you find funny, just make sure you give me a smile.
Reply:I've heard that eating strawberries helps whiten teeth. It's worth a shot, plus it tastes good and is good for you! :)
Reply:Okay, aren't you a Dentist? Your user name is "Jon the Dentist." So I would assume that you know what the best product on the market is?

I have had my teeth professionally whitened by a dentist. I have used the expensive whiteners that can only be purchased from a dentist. And I have to say that I like the COLGATE brush-on whitener the absolute best.

Crest Whitestrips are just okay - I feel like they don't really allow good coverage and they feel yucky. COLGATE allows you to simply brush as much or as little of the product as you want exactly where you want it. Personally I have received better results with COLGATE... and it's cheaper, too! =)

What says you, Jon the Dentist?

I bet you like Zoom!
Reply:Try a pinch of Sodium bicarbonate. Pass it on ur teeth and allow to stand for about 5 min. (Never mind the taste!) Then rinse abundntly with cold water. Works for me ,, hope it works for u!!
Reply:Your Dentist could do laser whitening for about 250.00 bucks.
Reply:None of the over the counter products do much of anything.

If you want actual results, you need to go see a dentist who does the Brite Smile technique. He puts this goop on your teeth and then you sit in front of a special light for about an hour. Although it costs a few hundred dollars, this will DRAMATICALLY whiten your teeth even if your teeth are severely discolored. You will go from deep yellow or even black to a crisp, perfect white. It's definitely worth the money. Also, teeth whitening (when done correctly, particularly by a professional) does not hurt your teeth in any way. The cost usually includes a touch up done 6 months later or so.

Which brings up an important point, teeth whitening won't prevent future discoloration. Your teeth will be perfectly white, but if you drink coffee, tea or soda or worse, smoke, your teeth will immediately beging to discolor again. However, if you don't do these things, they will stay white for years.
