What teeth whitening product do you best recomend for a teen?

My question is based upon YOUR recomendations i.e. products that worked for you....





i have braces...i want WHITER teeth....is there any product that whitens your teeth when you have braces AND works....





if it is a toothpaste tell me how long it takes to notice a difference....

I would not try to whiten your teeth with braces on. You will have stains from where your braces are. Best is to wait until you get them off. I've used Rembrandt 2 hour white and it worked well for me.
Reply:I don't have braces but I did have stained teeth and I started using crest white effects toothpaste and saw results in just a month, I use one ment for the day and a special one for night that really cleans and whitens deep while your sleeping and not consuming anything to rinse it off your teeth! I really like it alot!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:i wouldn't use anything other than a whitening toothpaste while you have braces on otherwise you will have dingy looking squares on all your teeth when your braces come off that will be way more noticeable than any discoloration that is currently on them.


when you have your braces taken off then you can begin using something along the lines of crest whitestrips. they are really the next best thing to professional whitening and dentist reccommended.
Reply:my sons dentist does not recommend any whiteners until the age of 16. however, corey used whitnening toothpaste while he had his braces on and it did not leave stains when he had them removed-however the toothpaste did whiten his teeth.





some folks just have a yellowish tinge as part of your gentics. no matter what you use, you will still have some sort of yellowing.





there is also a new issue regarding whiteners in rinses and gels....it can actually make your mouth very sore and rough-as if your mouth is chapped. it makes whatever you eat burn and this is on the uprise because the ingredients in them are very hard on the very tender skin in the mouth-this includes the tongue. the hydrogen peroxide is the main culprit. doctors are seeing this often in practice these days because folks use a whitening gel, toothpaste and rinse. they are over using the products trying to achieve something that may not be possible due to gentics.





ask your dentist what he recommends after you have your braces off.

Reply:If you're still a teenager I wouldn't use anything at all...you can't have yellowed your teeth much in a short period of time to warrant using something to whiten them. And with braces - you'll have funky squares on them because the squares will be normal color and the surrounding area will be extra white.
