Are there any over the counter type products for people who grind their teeth when they sleep?

I had this problem! I was advised by my dentist to get a mouth guard,.. at WalMart in the sporting goods section. After nightly use for a few weeks,.. it seemed to break my habit! They only cost 2 or 3 dollars. You drop them in boiling water a few seconds, then put it in your mouth and bite down. It makes an impression and you drop it in cold water. Wear it each nite and see what happens! Good luck! Worked for me!

Go to the tore and u can find a thing that u put in your mouth at night to make u stop grinding your teeth
Reply:there are covers that you can put over your teeth, but there is no drug for it. i think theyre only made for children, but you can ask your doctor/physician.
Reply:I don't know about over the counter product, but I went to my dentist and he made me a plastic type top mouth guard, for my grinding. It just slips over the top teeth and no more damage is done.

Reply:there's nothing someone can buy to make you stop grinding your teeth. You can help the damage to your teeth from the grinding by getting something called an occlusal guard. I have seen them in wal-mart but going to the dentist is really the best.
Reply:Yeah, its a product out called MouthGuard. It's like wearing one of those mouthguards that u would play sports in but its clear and softer. It decreases the pressure of u grinding ur teeth.
