Are there any household products I can use to whiten my teeth?

I'm guessing bleach is out. I've heard something about using baking soda as a whitening agent. Any ideas or recommendations about the store-bought kinds?

Yes. Once or twice a week, take a capful of Benzoyl Peroxide and brush your teeth with it after using the toothpaste. Not only does it help whiten your teeth, but it also kills bacteria in between gums and teeth. You don't want to swallow any though, and your gums will tingle, but it whitens teeth great. My mother taught me this trick, they use it all the time in nursing homes for the elderly.
Reply:I know that baking soda, like you mentioned, is pretty good at whitening teeth.
Reply:baking soda and water till its paste n brush
Reply:soda/peroxide combo ----mix to paste...i have done it weekly for years. Get complimented on my teeth all the time (dentist included)
