What are the pros and cons of teeth whiting products? What is the one to use?

Pro... white teeth, over-the-counter products are cheaper than the procedures performed by the dentist.

Con... results aren't as good as the procedures from the dentist, some people can have irritated gums and sensitive teeth from the peroxide in the whitening products (this is just temporary and will go away).

All of the products over-the-counter contain the same (or very similar) active ingredients. Most of the differences are in how long you have to use them. I have found some mild success with the rembrandt whitening products. They are more expensive however most only involve 1 or 2 treatments and come with plastic mouth trays which are easier to use than the strips.

Not whitening, and no good for the gums, have a visit to dentist and polish, then brush regularly 2 times, before going to bed is a must, once in every six months need to polish to maintain the whiteness..
Reply:white strips for two months and you'll have white teeth for the rest of the year
Reply:If you do use the over the counter whiteners, use them as directed. Most you are only suppose to do twice a day. Once the through with the product you shouldn't whiten again for 6 months or even more depending on which type you get. If you over use them you are more likely to have issues with sensitive teeth and gums. I personally found them all to work the same.
