I have been using toothpaste that says it will whiten teeth, but I don't think it really works.

I have some parents that use it for coffee and tea stains. And according to them, it does work. One of them is a 25-30 yr Hygienist as well.
Reply:yes , actually it is like tooth paste but it is proved to help whitening , use both.
Reply:Well i haven't had any luck with the toothpaste either. I also didn't have any luck with the crest white strips....well it will whiten your teeth over a period of time, but there are not instant results. I just tried some new stuff...its called Rembrandt (sp?). It comes in a set of three syringe looking things filled with the whitening gel. You put it in the mouth pieces and leave it on for 20 min. Anyways I tried it and I only left it on like 10-15 min cause I was in a hurry, but there was a very noticeable difference.
Reply:the toothpaste will help prevent stains, and the white strips work wonders... for the front teeth of-course. my wife and i use both and they work great.
