What are some at home products that i can use to make my teeth whiter? and can baking soda help?

If you want to whiten at home crest white strips or the new whitening trays. However if you are over the age of appr. 25 this won't work well for you due to years of staining, over the counter products contain about 3% hydrogen peroxide and dentist provided 20%.

You can professionally whiten your teeth at home through your dentist. Opalescence is the only whitener approved by the ADA. It is a kit you use at home but get through your dentist.

Tips to keep teeth white:

Always use a straw

Using a straw will prevent soda, coffee, and tea from staining the front of your teeth.

Brush at least twice a day circular motions. Whitening tooth paste will not help there is not enough peroxide to make a difference.

Have your teeth professionally cleaned at your local dental office. The Hygienist will leave your teeth cleaner, brighter and healthier.

I do not recommend baking soda.

Baking soda is too abrasive and can strip the enamel off of your teeth. Dont do that! You can use the crest white strips. They do work, they just take longer than having a dentist do it. You will have to buy a couple of boxes to get the same results as if you went to the dentist so it will cost about the same in the end.
