Teeth Whitening products?

I'm 17, female...I live in Brisbane Australia...My teeth are slightly yellow, and I want them to be really white...What products should I use, how much are they, where can I buy them from, and how long would it take generally to see a difference? Thanks!

Teeth Whitening products?
Aside from going tot the dentist, I would recommend Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus. They are strips that contain 10% hydrogen peroxide that you wear on your teeth twice a day, for 30 minutes (1 hour a day).

With the Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus, you get 10 days worth of whitening strips, and you're supposed to be able to see results in 3 days.

Honestly though, I had to buy a second pack before I really began to see the results. But, at least I got results the second time around. So I would give these a try. I have no idea how much they would cost in Australia, but over here in the U.S., they are about $30.

By the way, Crest Whitestrips come in three types that you can purchase over the counter. Crest Whitestrips Classic, which is the original Crest Whitestrips. They contain 6% hydrogen peroxide, and it comes with 14 days worth of whitening strips. The Premium version is 10% hydrogen peroxide and comes with 7 days worth of whitening strips. And the Premium Plus is the same as Premium, only it contains an additional 3 days worth of whitening strips. The Premium and Premium Plus will more than likely cause more tooth sensitivity than the Classic, as they do contain a higher concentration of the whitening agent.

Anyway, if I were you, I would give these a try. If you don't get noticeable results the first time, then don't get discouraged, you may just need to treat your teeth longer, like I did, and give it another shot. If in the event that it doesn't work the second time around, I would then see a dentist about getting a more concentrated bleaching kit.
Reply:I use the mouth wash. It's affordable and I've seen pretty good results. In the states you can buy whitening mouth wash at all drug stores and chains like Target. I'm not familiar with the shopping business in Australia. Sorry.

Boots advanced teeth whitening system does not work, you will not get any whitening results from this as their system does not contain any dental bleach.
Reply:since i am very concerned about getting whiter teeth, i have tried all sorts of teeth whitening only to find out that my gums and teeth are affected by bad effects. and just made the situation worse than before, so i threw them all away. a friend of mine suggested to try maximum teeth whitening and it worked for me. not to mention that the results are amazing i have whiter teeth compared decades ago. now i gained back my confidence for many have been notices my white smile.
Reply:Home whitening kits aren't a good idea as people tend to use them too often and the end result is damaged teeth and gums not to mention all the product you end up swallowing

For home remedies...

Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form toothpaste. Brush the teeth regularly with this paste. It will remove all stains in a month.

Use bicarbonate of soda 5 minutes before brushing the teeth with normal toothpaste in the morning. This is a good home remedy for teeth whitening.

Rubbing the bark of walnut tree on the teeth helps in removing all stains from the teeth.

Strawberries are considered natural teeth whiteners. Rubbing the teeth with strawberries daily will remove all the stains.

If you would like a suggestion on tooth whitening gel, here's something for you!

Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel ( about $18.00 ) allows you to remove stains while you sleep. The tooth whitening system has a fresh, wintergreen flavor. After fourteen days of sleeping with this product on your teeth, you will wake up to a vibrant smile. You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night.

Which teeth whitening products work without harmful effects?

I want to use one of those home products to help whiten my teeth. I have heard that some products weaken your enamel, and although do whiten, also make your teeth sensitive. Anyone know any products that don't do that but still work?

Or any nasty ingredients to look out for?

And has anybody tried the Pearl Drops range?

Which teeth whitening products work without harmful effects?
I talked with my dentist because the product he was pushing was not covered by my insurance and would cost me over $125. He recommended the crest whitening system....he whispered to me that its the same stuff only sold at the drug store price.
Reply:Actually the Listerine pre brush rinse works well for me.

Are teeth whitening products from stores like Dentcare (UK) safe?

Hi,

I have recently spoken to a dentist about teeth whitening and he recommended Carbamide Peroxide. He recommended I have a mould cast to my mouth professionally to ensure there's no leakage.

After looking around on the internet and reading some reviews I came across a product sold by a company called DentStore (http://www.dentstore.co.uk/laser.html) containing 35% of the active agent and including what appears like all the necessary products to do the job well at home.

My questions is, is this a safe product and would any dentists recommend this?

Many thanks!

Are teeth whitening products from stores like Dentcare (UK) safe?
Yes but these shops aren't in the UK despite being .co.uk.

Whitener is banned and when I ordered it, it didn't get through customs and never arrived.
Reply:there are a lot of teeth whitening products that promises to achieve your desired results but commonly those products may contain harsh chemicals that may damage and irritate your gums and skin. choose teeth whitening products that are made from natural ingredients that can achieve professional results effectively and safely. they do not contain chemicals or harsh ingredients that might irritate or damage the skin or gums especially to people with a sensitive skin. to know more about teeth whitening you may visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com

Best way to whiten teeth? whitening products, do they hurt?

What are some really good teeth whitening products I can use? Also, I have one tooth that's out of alignment and starting to get hidden behind on of the other teeth (hopefully I can get Invisline braces after I graduate college) so would the strips kind still work alright on that tooth? Or should I get paste or gel kind?

And i've heard these products can make teeth sensitive..is this just temporary, or can it be damaging?

And does using baking soda really help? Baking soda toothpaste doesn't do crap, but how about straight baking soda?

Best way to whiten teeth? whitening products, do they hurt?
I am currently using Rembrandt's Professional White. It is a gel that you leave on your teeth for twenty minutes max every night. It isn't awful at all and I have had no side effects.

As for the braces, I am a college student and have been wearing invisalign for almost a year now. There are not noticeable and for small changes like just one tooth out of line it is a simple task.

Also if you do end up getting invisalign, they work as whitening trays. Every night I just put the rembrandt whitening gel into my liners and leave it in overnight. In the morning it rinses out fine and I straightened and whitened my teeth all at the same time.
Reply:scrub your teeth hard...................

Reply:alot of celebs rubs strawberries
Reply:I used the Crest Pro-Whitening Strips, they worked pretty good, took about a week to notice a difference. Afterword I brushed my teeth at least twice a day and they have never looked whiter since!

P.S. I used them like 3 years ago, so I'm probably out-dated. Brushing your teeth helps! And no the strips didn't hurt. Just a bit annoying when they slipped off my teeth and I had to put them back on.
Reply:bleach
Reply:mix peroxide and baking soda and it turns into a paste.

brush it on your teeth every morning and night.

it works really goood.
Reply:i used crest it really whitened my teeth lol . not kidding
Reply:that tooth paste with cyrstals

brush your teeth more often

whitening strips. idk if they work good.

i would try straight baking soda, because just get it wet than brush your teeth. thats how they used to do it.

and try not to chew colored gum, cause that can leave marks.

and mouth wash more than once.

or brush twice, but not to much cause u want enamel
Reply:i used crest whitestrips last february and while they do work really well, i have had a LOT of sporadic tooth sensitivity even to this day. the effects are just starting to wear off, so they do work, but the tooth sensitivity is a bit of a pain. it doesnt happen often but when it does it is quite uncomfortable. ;/
Reply:Mouthwash maybe?
Reply:-whiting gels or strips...like crest or listerine

-stirps would work fine, but i think the gel would be better

-it makes your teeth sensitive if you leave them on too long

-don't use strait up bakingsoda, mix it with peroxide

-i hear rubbing your teeth with a strawberry whitens teeth too....i've personally never tried it, but it was on the tyra show(don't even know why i was watching it in the first place)
Reply:Okay....

I would suggest getting your teeth cleaned first by your dentist, then follow these procedures to keep your teeth white.

1.) Floss thoroughly.

2.) Brush teeth for 2 minutes at least.

3.) Gargle with Listerine.

Then once a week, use a whitening gel that you can apply in strips to your mouth, and let it sit there for 30 minutes.

Baking Soda is a bad idea, I wouldn't suggest it. Crest or Listerine brands (whitening strips) are fine for whitening teeth, just don't leave them in long.

By doing this, you don't damage your teeth and increase the health and strength while giving yourself a great shine. :) Hope that helps you out. Remember that your local dentist can give you further advice!
Reply:Baking soda (pure) really does work. It gives the feeling like you have just had a cleaning because of the mild abrasive, but is safe for teeth.

The strips would work okay, for your other teeth, but if that one tooth is badly aligned, you may want to try the gel.

They can definitely make the teeth sensitive after the first few applications.
Reply:I would rather have the dentist do it. But if you're close to graduating college like a year then I would wait because they got to put this glue stuff on your teeth to make the braces stick which will be a waste of money if you whitened your teeth from a dentist. So in my opinion I rather have a professional do it. You get to pick how white you want it and it last longer.
Reply:wouldn't go for the baking soda

I used the crest whitestrips and they worked amazingly

the sensitivity is just temporary and its not much its just a bit tingly, once your done with the treatment your teeth feel normal.

And i think the strips would work best on your tooth otherwise you have to get those trays and i dont know about them.
Reply:My favorite are Rembrant Whitening strips. They aren't as awful tasting as Crest's are. My teeth are pretty sensitive so after the full week of using them, the teeth get even more sensitive but it wears of after a day. Also Rembrant's strips stay in place much better than crest's do, which is why I like them better.

Reply:consult a dental expert before choosing an at-home teeth whitening system that has quality ingredients that can deliver safe and effective whiter teeth results in just a matter of time.

discolored and stained teeth are caused by the food you eat and the drinks that you take in. be wary that the most common culprits that can stain teeth are colas, coffee, tea, chocolates, sauces, plum, red wine, etc. try to avoid these culprits if you want to maintain white teeth.

the use of straw when drinking colas and iced tea will be much helpful. for more tips on how to whiten teeth visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com

Teeth Whitening Cream or Teeth Whitening Products - Any reccomendations or reviews on what works best?

I'd like to whiten my teeth as I'm getting married soon (yay!). Does anyone have any recommendations or reviews of good teeth whitening products or teeth whitening creams. Also, do you know of somewhere that I could perhaps get free samples to try out before I buy?

Thanks

Teeth Whitening Cream or Teeth Whitening Products - Any reccomendations or reviews on what works best?
From the many best teeth whitening methods, in-house teeth whitening kits are sold in the market. These kits consist of plates usually attached to the teeth and enclose the gel that comes with the gel. Whatever any method you choose, important thing is your teeth become very bright to enhance your looks. The time frames required to make the difference will vary, but the effectiveness lies only with the professional doctor. You will not be able to do it by yourself.

Reply:One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.
