Can the dentist whiten my teeth?

my teeth have a yellow tint, i brush twice a day, morning and night. But as much as i brush and use whitening products my teeth remain yellowish, can the dentist really whiten my teeth?

Can the dentist whiten my teeth?
yes
Reply:A dentist can whiten teeth. It can be as easy as polishing off the discoloration to applying coatings. You need to ask your dentist which is better for you, and more importantly which you can afford. Most dental plans consider whitening as cosmetic and do not cover the procedure!
Reply:Yes your dentist can, but they have to check your teeth first.

1. Is your enamel strong enough on your teeth to handle the bleach?

2. What type of bleaching are looking for? In chair bleaching or at home gel kits or whitening strips?

Consult your Dentist about it and see what he/she might feel is best for your oral health. Many different things can be done.

If you dental insurance, ask them if they will cover the bleaching. Most wont, but you never know until you call and ask. Make sure you ask your Dental office about the prices as well. In chair bleaching is very expensive. The custom bleaching gel trays are next and then the strips.

Also your food intake can make a difference as well, soda's soy sauces, and coffee's anything like that can cause your teeth to stay disscolored
