Are tooth whitening products okay to use on dentures?

You can use a whitening toothpaste to brush them with (over a sink of water so they won't break if they fall out of your hand) otherwise use just a denture tablet to soak them in. Whitestrips or whitening trays will not change the color of the dentures since they are created by a lab and are color stable. I would recommend that if you think that they have stain on them to have your dentist or hygienist clean them with a solution in an ultrasonic cleaner and then they can be scaled or polished as necessary.....In order to get whiter dentures you will need new ones, wish I had a better news about that!!!

Hope that helps!

They don't work on dentures unless they are part of polident or similar products. The whitening strips don't help.
Reply:Probabaly not. Even if it is safe, false teeth cannot be whitened like natural teeth. Unfortunately if you are no longer happy with the color, you may need to replace the dentures. Ask the dentist anyway.
