Did ya ever hear that brushing your teeth with salt will make them white?

my sister once told me that her friends cousin brushes her teeth with table salt and hasn't used tooth paste for years,i actually know of the girl shes talking about and she dose have an extreamly bright smile for a smoker,i wonder if this is true??as i spend alot of hard earned cash on teeth whitening products because years of smoking hasnt been too kind on the colour of my chops!! id love to believe that there was a cheap alternative to those expensive products...but id be afraid id give myself salt poisoning or sumthin!!!! please dont state the obvious cuz given the fags up isnt an option!!

Reply:well i think she's right. sometimes i use it but i'm just too lazy to use it everyday. ummm... using baking soda with salt can really help you get a whiter smile, so u should definately try it and it will also help you save money. i know that i've tried it and u can definately see some results.
