My teeth dont go whiter even if i use products?
first of all you should put in mind that color of teeth different from one to another, i mean it's like the color differences of the skin, someone black and the other is white..

also cleaning of the teeth will only remove the deposits on them so make the natural color of the teeth appear.

bleaching of the teeth is a different issue , here the dentist uses some products which make the teeth more whiter than the original color.

whiting products in the market will not give you the wanted whiting like dental bleaching.

i don't know which tooth you are talking about but usually canines have darker color than the other teeth on the same mouth.
Reply:Usually, the reason for a tooth not whitening up as the others, is due to an internal reason/staining. Bleaches/whiteners will work on the surface of the teeth, removing stains or brightening up the tooth's surface. A tooth which is deemed "non vital" or stains caused from medications, are internal...which means bleaching agents won't work.

There are options for you, depending on where you live. There are new veneers (caps), which require little or NO removal of tooth surfaces. This can get pretty pricey, though. Other options can be invasive, requiring a change in tooth structure so a covering (of somekind) can be placed over the tooth.

Talk with your dentist about this so you can learn of the options available for you.
Reply:What you need is an EFFECTIVE TEETH WHITENING kit from http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com/... For me, it is simply the best and one of a kind. Try and you'll see the amazing difference. Yes, it's true coz I'm still using it until now.

How can i get my teeth whiter, at home? without any like products?

i just kind of wanted to know some ways you can help your teeth with like stuff you have at home or something. any secrets?

This is gonna sound weird but it really works. Take a piece of bread and burn it like you would toast only make it BLACK, then scrap the black part off onto a plate and dip your toothbrush in it. Just brush your teeth with it and then rinse. It tastes pretty bad but it actually works. Good luck.
Reply:The only thing I can think of is a whitening tooth paste and mouth washes. There are also whitening strips. Using baking soda while brushing helps as well.
Reply:I've heard that brushing with crushed strawberries and baking soda helps. Of course theres baking soda and peroxide. I just bought an electric toothbrush and honestly, that alone out does any product i've ever bought. spend at least $20 to get a good one. i have an oral b. it cost $80 but u probably dont need to spend that much.
Reply:Hydrogen Peroxide makes teeth white. It is usually the main product in teeth whiteners. Many dentists recommend brushing with baking soda and rinsing with hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is used to bleach hair and as a disinfectant on cuts and scrapes.
Reply:brush your teeth every time you eat

Everyone wants a glamorous movie-star smile, and by today's standards, the whiter your teeth, the better. Of course, we all can't afford multiple visits to the dentist and stains do come back, making it a recurring problem.

Even with proper care, your teeth can be stained by coffee, soda, tea, medicines, and smoking. The residue of food seeps into the fine cracks of your teeth, making it nearly impossible to brush out. Whitening toothpastes only bleach out minor discolorations. The older the stain, the more difficult it is to get rid of.

Home Remedies

In most cases, cheap toothpaste doesn't cut it. An expensive toothpaste is often needed for a brighter smile. Unfortunately, getting your teeth whitened professionally is not an option for everyone. If you want to forego the creams, bleaches, trays, and gels found in drugstores, you can take the natural approach and use any of the following home remedies for whiter teeth that are both cheap and effective.

Baking Soda: An old-time favorite, baking soda has many purposes, including tooth whitening. Most dentists agree that it's safe to use and works fairly quickly. You can use it alone on a damp toothbrush or mix it with toothpaste to help neutralize the salty taste.

Hydrogen Peroxide: One of the most popular home remedies, peroxide, is cheap and most people have it on hand. Chances are, you will feel some burning in your gums, but you'll be left with clean, whiter teeth. Typically, most people will see results within a couple of weeks but it can happen much sooner. It's also safe to gargle, but don't swallow.

Brush your teeth as you normally do, and then swish for about a minute. Follow up by spitting it out and rinsing thoroughly with water. Another way to use it is by dipping a cotton swap in the solution and gently rubbing it into your teeth, front and back.

Strawberries: Not many people are aware that strawberries contain natural teeth whitening agents and the seeds work great for cleaning. Since they also contain sugar and acids, it's important to brush immediately afterwards with a fluoride toothpaste. For easy and quick application, you can either rub the strawberry against your teeth, or mash it up and use it like toothpaste.

Wood Ash: Strange as it may sound, hard wood ash helps whiten teeth. It contains potassium hydroxide, a compound that will bleach your teeth. The tiny crystals scrape off plague in hard to reach places and will scrub them clean. However, using wood ash often or scrubbing too hard can wear down your tooth enamel, so it's best to avoid using it for long periods of time. To apply it to your teeth, you can put it directly on your toothbrush or mix it with a small amount of toothpaste.

Homemade tooth paste: One of the better home recipes for whiter teeth is a paste consisting of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, table salt and a dab of toothpaste. Mix it all together and brush away stains.
Reply:I use baking soda and peroxide. I seems to do the trick.

Whtening teeth..... How to at home, with out products!??!?!?

Okay, I really want whiter teeth and no toothpaste seems to make them whiter.

Crest white strips are too expensive for me. I need a way to whiten them with stuff at my house.

Or should I just give up???

Please give reasonable answers :] %26lt;3

I've actually wondered myself why so many Whitening toothpastes don't seem to have any effect.

One reason I've found for this is that they do not contain the amount of Hydrogen Peroxide they would need to make an actual difference, which is because by law they are only allowed to add so much, another being that these companies make false claims about their product and get away with it.

According to the BBC's website one reason could also be that people's expectations are too high, a dentist on their website says: "Teeth are not naturally white, they are a greyish yellow. People should not aim to get a supernaturally white smile" - but I suppose many people are so used to seeing celebrities who have had cosmetic dentistry they see that as the norm.

I have found a website with recipes for home-made teeth whitening, the recipe I have heard works the most is "Mixing Baking Soda with water until it forms a paste" use this before brushing with toothpaste and remember to floss and rinse. I've heard people recommending the pure form of bleach in addition to Baking Soda but I'd recommend you stay away from it as it can severely damage your teeth.

From my own personal experience I would suggest a toothpaste called "Beverly Hills Formula" if you can get hold of it. The BBC website also lists two as being accredited by the British Dental Association they are: Macleans Whitening Toothpaste and Aquafresh Whitening Toothpaste.

Hope that helped.
Reply:Apparently, baking soda is the way to go.

I'm a little scared myself, and it's definitely not something good to do everyday..

but give it a go ;]
Reply:well tooth pastes are abrasive, meaning they scrape off a layer of enamel and gunk to get your teeth to be whiter

an alternative woudl be getting an abrasive whitening toothpaste and brusing 3-5 times a day

or getting the whitening gel, which happens to bea bit cheaper than the whitestrips.

good luck!
Reply:swish a half cap of peroxide and half water and use the baking soada toothpaste
Reply:Bicarbonate of soda is good.

Do u think that the products that whiten ur teeth work or are they harmful?

They work, and like anything in this world, if you use them too much, they will damage your teeth. But the ingredients in small doses aren't bad for you. It's just hydrogen peroxide which is a very natural form of teeth whitener.

Do u think that the products that whiten ur teeth work or are they harmful?
If you use it too often, it probably would be. But they just leave your teeth very sensitive.

Reply:Both, I believe that they work, but over a long period of usage it can be very harmful and cause damage to the enamel on your teeth.

What is the best products for whitening your teeth??

Do the Crest White Strips really work?

What is the best products for whitening your teeth??
They're always giving away (1/4 price today!!!) those laser whitening treatments at the gym. If you work out at 24 hour fitness, ask the front desk, they'll give you a recent coupon. It's usually 700 bucks but you can get it done for 200 bucks or less through 24hour. Your teeth will literally glow white for 2 months. That breaks down cheaper than any shelf product out there and works 100x better.

What dental products and/or brands whiten teeth more quickly and/or effectively?

im asking cause you guys know how every brand says they do this and that but some dont actually work...and if it helps, I dont drink coffee, smoke, i get my daily calcium, dont drink alot of soda, and i brush my teeth once or twice a day...

What dental products and/or brands whiten teeth more quickly and/or effectively?
It all depends if your stains are intrisic or extrinsic.

Intrinsic staining occurs after long period of time and are deeply imbedded in your teeth, and usually only professional treatment can remove these stains.

Extrinsic stains are surface stains and are easily removed with whitening toothpastes like Crest Vivid White/Vivid White Night and Rembrant, or Listenerine with Whitenol or Whitening Listerine. But give the products time, nothing works over night. Results should be seen in about a two weeks or less, and dramatic results in about a mouth. That is, if the stains are extrinsic.

If this doesn't work, talk to your dentist about professional treatments or prescription gels with custom whitening trays.

Everyone deserves a healthy looking smile!

Hope this helps!
Reply:our office has three types--Zoom (like used on Extreme Makeover) bleaching trays used for two weeks @ home and Crest Whitining Strips ( the prescription strength you can only get @ your dentists office. which do i think is best?? the Crest Strips--less tooth senstivity, just 30 min. a day and the most cost efficient.
