Which home teeth whitening have you used and what was the results like? Whats your best products?

Unfortunately it's not on the market anymore and I can't figure out why because it actually worked. You may be able to find it on Ebay, I know I have seen people selling it before as kind of closeout sales but this was a few months ago. The product was Colgate's Simply White gel that you brush on. The key in using it is to apply it to clean teeth that are dry, dry them with a towel, apply it and keep your mouth open for about a minute to allow the gel to dry. Peroxide (active ingredient in the Simply White) is in most tooth whitening products and in order for it to work it's best it needs to be applied to dry teeth. So you could just use a q-tip and hydrogen peroxide and whitening your teeth that way, it's safe to use orally. When peroxide is applied to wet teeth it doesn't work because it just waters it down and the peroxide won't adhere, therefore being quite ineffective. I would assume the case is true with any other whitening product such as the strips and trays. I haven't tried them, only the Simply White. I don't have anymore so I just use the q-tip and peroxide method, it works just fine. It's also best if you don't eat or drink for at least a half hour after whitening your teeth so you don't take off the peroxide/sollution.

Which home teeth whitening have you used and what was the results like? Whats your best products?
get crest white strips pro! they are amazing!! they whiten your teeth so fast! there is really a difference after the first use. put the strip on for a half hour (follow the directions) and then after you take them off used the crest pre-brush whitening rinse and then brush!
Reply:the crest is ok but it doesnt fully dissolve like after 20 or 30 minutes u have to pull out the rest on the strips...but the listerine works well after 1 use and actually does dissolve...
Reply:At-home whitening

There are several types of products available for use at home. Some of these tooth whitening products can be easily purchased off the shelves of pharmacy while others are dispensed by your dentist.

One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.

My teeth are kinda clear toward the ends... im almost certain its bcuz of all the whitening products i used?

is there a way i can get rid of this?...........or a way the dentist can get rid of it or bring back the white color

My teeth are kinda clear toward the ends... im almost certain its bcuz of all the whitening products i used?
no you have damaged the enamel of your teeth. Talk to a dentist maybe they can give you something to stop future damage such as flouride drops.
Reply:No, you have permanently damaged your teeth for looks!
Reply:haha ur not sexay any more
Reply:Mine are like that too, but they just came in like that. I'm afraid of making it worse, which is why I keep the whitening to a minimum.

I heard that veneers can fix that, but I don't think it's worth something so drastic.

How do I keep my teeth white and shining like pearls? Suggest some homemade paste and inexpensive products.?

i use arm %26amp; hammer whitening toothpaste, it works really well - you can see the results within the first few days and it's fairly cheap.

How do I keep my teeth white and shining like pearls? Suggest some homemade paste and inexpensive products.?
I use Listerine Whitening Pre-Brush Rinse with a whitening toothpaste and I'm very happy with it. I've tried the Crest Whitestrips and my teeth hurt for weeks afterwards.
Reply:I use Pearl Drops Tooth polish. Works well for me and I smoke and drink red wine.
Reply:Home remedy. 3% Peroxide (1) cap full swished in the mouth for 10 minutes in the morning daily. Whitest teeth you will ever see. $1.00 a bottle.
Reply:Brush with a good fluoride toothpaste and floss regularly. Be aware that tooth whitening pastes are quite abrasive and can "scratch" the tooth surface making the enamel pick up stains more easily. Try not to use harsh abrasives if you opt for a home remedy. No one has "white" teeth and the colour depends on the colour of the dentine which sits below the enamel. Stay away from red wine, coffee, tea and smoking as they will stain your teeth. A 6 monthly scale and polish will keep them clean %26amp; shiny ! You can try tooth whitening from your dentist, they are the safer and better options for tooth whitening. Just don't go whiter than the sclera (whites of your eyes) or they look too white. Its all about skin tone too... Don't wanna glow in the dark!

That's my opinion anyway :)
Reply:Hai,

Strawberries or hydrogen peroxide can be used for whitening teeth. Try brushing 3 times a day. Brush with Neem tree's bark it is very good for teeth. Drinks lot of milk. That's the natural way to get your teeth nice and white. For more details, please check on our website.

My teeth are going yellow, too much coffee/sweet?any ideas, tried and tested products? that work?

I feel your pain. I drink coffee, Cokes, red wine, and eat a lot of chocolate. I find that if I just rinse my mouth after each cup of coffee, or after eating, it helps keep the stains from setting. Once or twice a week I brush my teeth with a combination of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. It tastes nasty, but will clean your teeth. My dentist says he can't tell I have such bad coffee, wine and chocolate habits. Every day I brush my teeth with Tom's of Maine toothpaste. It's an all natural product that you can find almost anywhere, Walgreen's, Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods.

My teeth are going yellow, too much coffee/sweet?any ideas, tried and tested products? that work?
stop drinking coffee, any of the large companies that have products work
Reply:go to a dentist
Reply:Coffee, smoking and poor hygiene habits are major factors that add to yellowing. First all teeth are NOT pearly white, only the movies and advertisers want you to think that. Several products OTC work to some extent. If you have a serious issue or just want them whiter the natural you need to see a dentist.
Reply:if you dont want to stop then get your teeth professionally whitened
Reply:Use the gift of nature.

Guava leaves are very good for removing tarter, the yellowish color of your teeth.

Take one healthy guava leaf and wash it well. Use some table salt mixed with it. Scrub your teeth everyday morning and you will see that your teeth will sparkle within a few days.
Reply:Its called a toothbrush and was invented in my homestate of West Virginia. If it was invented anywhere else it would have been called a Teethbrush.
Reply:Go to your dentist. You need to go for a regular clean at the dentist every 6 months and you'll see the results. Yellow teeth are usually caused by too much coffee, smoking and sweets. Make sure you brush your teeth twice a day!!
Reply:First of all if ur toothpaste contains too much fluorine then pls change it.Next u should brush often.Scaling puts makes ur gums loose, so its better that u use tooth whiteners available at the chemists before going to a dentist.see if u have any vitamin or mineral deficiencies. If u have bad breath, take care of ur stomach and what u eat n all will b fine.
Reply:o.k, i drink coffee too and u don't have to stop.Crest dental plan works great! They have night toothpast, mouth wash...and it costs a whole lot less then the dentist. But make sure that you don't mix one brand of toothpaste w/ another. And do exactly what it tells you to do on the package. And it is usually best NOT to ask a dentist. Just b/c he(she) will try to sell you expensive stuff.
Reply:Go Smile tooth whitening system is amazing. $89, but soooo worth it. It will take your teeth ten shades lighter in seven days, guaranteed. Without tooth sensitivity. I am an ex-smoker and you would never know it from my pearly white teeth after using this product.
Reply:Drink more water and go to your dentist. Sometimes caffine can start to eat away the enamel in teeth. Stick to flouride cavity fighting toothpaste. Cut down the heavy caffine and again see your dentist.
Reply:Topol smokers toothpaste and mouthwash are for yellowing stains. You can see immediate results. Also, brush 1-2x more often and maybe see your dentist for a cleaning as these methods are for in between cleanings. Good luck!
Reply:OTC stuff may work but the best thing to do is to get a dentist to tell u whats up
Reply:crest white strips worked very well for me.
Reply:I kind of had the same problem except I drank tooo much diet pepsi! It started to rot away my teeth!! No joke! But anyway, the best thing to do is to slowly cut down on the coffee and sugar. Drink more water and eat more calcium. Milk isn't really the best thing for your teeth.. even tho people say it is.. i asked my dentist and he even said it isn't really that good. Brush more often, and use mouthwash 2-3 times a day. ACT or Flourigard works. If you absolutly must drink coffee.. just try to drink it as little as possible. in time it'll be okay!

How do teeth whitening strips work? What are the negative effects of these products? Are their longterm risks?

Peroxide bleaches the teeth. Lasts for quite some time but you may experience sensitivity to cold or hot liquids or your teeth may hurt when you breathe cold air... if this happens, use the strips only every few days. You'll get the same results it will just take a bit longer and you won't have to suffer!

Be careful tho, you can damage gum tissue if you get the product on your gums too often for too long.

How do teeth whitening strips work? What are the negative effects of these products? Are their longterm risks?
The peroxide in the strips bleaches your teeth the way it may lighten you hair.

Negative effects may be teeth sensitivity not always though
Reply:crest white strips in the blue container work very well. just as well as professional whitenning, (i had both) after two strips you will definitely see a difference. i recommend it highly. i don't think there's much side effects. if you leave it on more the hour or so recommended, your teeth may feel a little tingly fromthe peroxide but it eventually goes away.
Reply:read the labels- they'll give you the facts
Reply:Strips are better than the brush on stuff that used to be available, there used to be reported cases of increased cases of mouth cancer because of the chemicals used in the whitening process, but since the brush-on kind has gone away, I haven't heard or read anything negative about them. But like everyone else has said, there can be sensitivity in both teeth and gums, so be careful and slow down if it becomes a problem for you.

go down the toothpaste isle in woolworths, there are heaps of kits you can buy. these range from toothpastes to things ou wear a mouth gaurd thingy for. colgate had a thingy that you painted on your teeth.

What whitens your teeth the best when it comes to over the counter products?

Peroxide and water!

Just mix 1 cap of peroxide (from the peroxide bottle) with 1 cap of water in a glass. Swish in your mouth for 5 minutes, spit out and rinse well! You should do this AFTER you've brushed your teeth, by the way.

Cheapest way I've found!

What are some at home products that i can use to make my teeth whiter? and can baking soda help?

If you want to whiten at home crest white strips or the new whitening trays. However if you are over the age of appr. 25 this won't work well for you due to years of staining, over the counter products contain about 3% hydrogen peroxide and dentist provided 20%.

You can professionally whiten your teeth at home through your dentist. Opalescence is the only whitener approved by the ADA. It is a kit you use at home but get through your dentist.

Tips to keep teeth white:

Always use a straw

Using a straw will prevent soda, coffee, and tea from staining the front of your teeth.

Brush at least twice a day circular motions. Whitening tooth paste will not help there is not enough peroxide to make a difference.

Have your teeth professionally cleaned at your local dental office. The Hygienist will leave your teeth cleaner, brighter and healthier.

I do not recommend baking soda.

What are some at home products that i can use to make my teeth whiter? and can baking soda help?
Baking soda is too abrasive and can strip the enamel off of your teeth. Dont do that! You can use the crest white strips. They do work, they just take longer than having a dentist do it. You will have to buy a couple of boxes to get the same results as if you went to the dentist so it will cost about the same in the end.

Teeth whitening?

does anyone know how long it takes for crest white strips to whiten your teeth? and how much are they? also, are there any other ways to whiten your teeth? products? home remedies? anything thanks!

Teeth whitening?
It can be immediatly or take a couple of days to see results It just depends on your teeth. The cost is generally 20-30 $'s, You can also get store brands and purchase off the internet like E-bay under teeth whiteners with tubes of whitener and usually a tray. Also the crest whiting mouthwash has peroxide in it and works as well. of course baking soda and some suggestions that The others have made as well works, but crest does a pretty good job for $20-30
Reply:I rinse my mouth with Hydrogen Peroxide a couple times a week before I brush. It is the active ingredient in most tooth whiteners. It works great, is good for your gums, and is cheap. Just don't swallow it.
Reply:Use normal salt and brush daily in the morning and night before going to bed. Your teeth will sparkle like anything....
Reply:i have heard that strawberries are natural teeth-whiteners. i tried it and it worked. brush your teeth with strawberries.
Reply:go to your local pharmacy. they should have all the different products available. most of the time it is not all that easy to apply that stuff and make the result look good. besides that all of the products are toxic! so wrong use could be bad for you. furthermore, you can only whiten your teeth up to a certain extend (not too much) yourself. so when you want to do it right, go to a dentist, he can even give you 'new' ceramic teeth which are put over your real ones - now those will be 100% white. but you won't find a single product that can whiten your teeth 100% (they all promise that though...).

good luck
Reply:Years ago, before all the Teeth Whitening products came out to the Public, I would use a paste of baking Soda, it will remove Bad stains from the teeth, the downside is prolonged use of it can damage the enamel. I buy the Generic White Strips at Walmart. They cost about 10 bucks for 14 day supply.

This is only if u have stained or yellow teeth. which teeth whitening product works the best?

which whitening products works best on these teeth? answer if u have tried a product and has or hasnt worked

This is only if u have stained or yellow teeth. which teeth whitening product works the best?
If your talking about the gels you apply to teeth, they are all the same. They even taste the same. They all take the same amount of time to work, about 1-2 weeks. They do work, they will make your teeth whiter. But it is in the packaging where the difference in pricing comes in.
Reply:I have tried crest white strips and didn't have much luck with them. I really like whitening toothpaste (Crest with scope Whitening). While it takes a little while for whiteningto occur, it will with paitence. If you have sensative teeth, I think sensodyne makes a whitening paste, though I haven't tried it. Also, mouthwash with a blue tint to it will make your teeth look whiter, if you use it after brushing. Listerine makes a good whitening rinse, but I usually use Crest ProHealth, because it doesn't burn.
Reply:I dont have "yellow" teeth but smoking did not make my teeth any whiter

i used laser whitening but its expensive and im following up with a twice nightly 20 day course of home whitening because i said i wanted hollywood white. i use a 10% hydrogen peroxide solution and this is only available from dentist really... at least in uk

i recommend going to a professional for nicest, fast results even though expensive u will probably waste that on all these pathetic home products in the stores... they arent that good at all..... i never really noticed any differences with them.

Reply:I had brownish yellow teeth. I had the front ones porcelain bonded to be white and it worked, but at great cost. I wish I had known about the at home tooth whitening kits with custom trays that you can get at a fraction of the cost and get all the teeth done at one time. The ones by NovaWhite are quite affordable and effective. Also, with their tooth whitening gel using Carbamide Peroxide, you can control the degree of whiteness.

does anyone know how long it takes for crest white strips to whiten your teeth? and how much are they? also, are there any other ways to whiten your teeth? products? home remedies? anything thanks!

Teeth whitening?
Well crest strips will actually do more harm than good, so I say invest a little more and pick up a product called "Go Smile" (available at Sephora.Com) It's a little more than Crest stripes but worth it! If you purchase the "B1" series, you will see results after the first application. It's different for everyone but on average whitens up to ten shades in only 7 days when you use it twice a day. Plus, it won't eat offf your enamel like cheaper ones. They come in quick easy to use vials that you brush on for about 2 minutes and just avoid drinking or eating for 20 mintues after wards, beats sitting with your mouth open for 30 mintues (lol) It only costs $89 and will last much longer. For those that drink wines, sodas or smoke, I recommend doing this 2 a year and maintaing with touch up vials alao avaiable at Sephora.com. Good Luck!

What products (food or drink) changes the colour of teeth?

Tea, coffe and red wine will all stain the teeth over a period of time. So if you get your teeth whitened and then drink these things, eventually they will darken again.

What products (food or drink) changes the colour of teeth?
blueberries i think are the worst,
Reply:Dark colored stuff. Coffee, wines, usually sucking on lemons acidic foods will wear down your enamel. Carbonated stuff can stain and deteriate your teeth too.
Reply:Dark drinks such as soda, coffee, tea....if you want to keep your teeth white, make sure you are drinking things like 7 up, apple juice and water. ;-)
Reply:coffee, tea, chocolate, and others that I can't think of.

Strawberries make your teeth whiter. Brush them twice a day. If you are really serious about it try not to eat desserts unless you brush your teeth soon after.

Drink more milk it strengthens your tooth enamel against decay.

What is a good product for teeth whitening?

My teeth are kinda off-white and I want them to be whiter (like ... a celebrity's or something). Does anyone have anyy good recommendations for teeth whitening products that I could get easily?

What is a good product for teeth whitening?
The best kind of whitner is the ones that the dentist uses. Its not so much that the whitning gel that is expensive, its getting the mold made for your teeth that costs a lot. If anyone know of some stores that possibly sell mold kits..that would be the best.

The name of the whitner is "nitewhite" and you can look it up on the net. Its what the dentists prescribe. There are different strenghts. Some you can keep on for an hour..and some you keep on overnite.
Reply:Forget any kind of whitening strip. Although they do whiten, they weaken the enamel of your teeth and that can cause health problems later on. A while ago, when I got my braces off, my teeth weren't as white as I wanted them to be. So every time after I brushed my teeth I put some baking soda on my brush and brushed my teeth with that. It really works and doesn't weaken your teeth! I started noticing results within a week!
Reply:stained teeth are caused by the food you eat and the drinks that you take in. Sometimes it would be better to use straw when drinking colas and iced tea. refraining from exposing teeth to culprits that can cause teeth to discolor will be very helpful.

ask your dentist on the best teeth whitening systems that are appropriate for your teeth. for more tips on how to keep teeth even whiter visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com
Reply:I had problem with my teeth, like they were white but not as white as they could be plus I had some genetic blotches (white spots)

after doing some research I found out that hydrogen peroxide (sp) is the best agent when it comes to teeth whitening - It took me awhile but I found a site offering a good price for the product if anyones interested its http://www.teeth-whitening.com.au - I used the BASIC kit for about 12 weeks and I got 6 - 7 shades whiter and its deff noticable and the white genetic blothches have faded a lot.

Science Fair Project on tooth whitening products.....help!?

I have a science fair project due this thursday and i hardly did anything..... Instead of testing tooth whitening products on teeth, i tested them on eggshells.....This won't deduct any points from my project, since they both contain calcium??? Please help??? how do i know for sure if they are very similar?

Science Fair Project on tooth whitening products.....help!?
Unfortunately, eggshells and teeth are not made of the same material; eggshells are calcium carbonate and teeth are calcium phosphate. Having said that, you also have the problem that eggs are already white, so it would be difficult to get them whiter. You might be better off using a bone, which has the same composition as teeth and won't be as white.
Reply:i dunno i think u shouldve picked something that has ALL or most of the similarities of teeth. i.e. the eggshells should contain most of the things teeth have in them... but im not sure that there is anything like that.
Reply:Eggshells are fairly porous, unlike teeth. The whole idea of tooth whitening is not to affect the calcium in the tooth itself but to bleach out the substances that are staining it. An eggshell holds stains well so it would show more dramatic results than with real teeth.

How can I make my teeth REALLYYY white without using bleach, or dentist products????

Swishing peroxide in your mouth before brushing helps as well as using a good whitening toothpaste. Aslo lemons or pure lemon juice rubbed on your teeth or swished in your mouth but make sure that you brush thoroughly afterwards because continual use of lemon without removing it from your teeth can actually take the enamel off.

How can I make my teeth REALLYYY white without using bleach, or dentist products????
Try baking soda whitening toothpaste.
Reply:Brush your teeth with a baking soda/peroxide mix. It's foamy, so make sure to only use a little of peroxide. Hope that helps! :)
Reply:uh....brush them a lot...?
Reply:U can try using lemons on the teeth..and leave them overnight..be careful not to touch the gums with the lemon juice..another way is some white powder used by Indians..but i am not so sure what is this white powder...i only know this white powder got some smell..
Reply:Well, the only way to get eye-popping whiteness is to go seek professional treatment, but there are toothpastes which will give you a near result. Try Pearl Drops, or Maclean's White and Shine, or Crest Whitestrips. Check out your drugstore for heaps of whitening product varieties.
Reply:well it really depends. My mom gave me too much fluoride when i was little so mine are premanently stained but over time and a lot of brushing has made a little improvement.
Reply:buy hydrogen peroxide solution from the chemist - it will only cost a couple of dollars and gargle each day - it will make your teeth white

Im a smoker %26amp; my latest dentist gave me the best advice ever, get a electric toothbrush,at the moment they are less than half price at superdrugs,I got mine for around a tenner %26amp; use clinomyn toothpaste, all the others dont work, even if u dont smoke this toothpaste will remove stains..I've been doing this for 9 months,u need to brush for at least 5 mins twice a day but after 2 months u will notice %26amp; so will everyone else.

Reply:oh yes i have tried them all and they do not work , even the stuff they sale on ebay is a big con.
Reply:A normal toothpaste would do
Reply:That pearl drops is good as long as you brush your teeth for an adequate time and use it 2, if not 3 times a day. Also a lot of the whitening toothpastes are good these days. we used the new colgate one which whitens and adds calcium and that worjked a treat. usually the ones with grainy bits in 9sucvh as Arm %26amp; Hammer) are really good and not too more expensive than normal toothpaste.
Reply:arm %26amp; hammer it works for me
Reply:THE BEST TEETH WHITENING PRODUCT IS TO STAY OFF SUGARY FOOD!!! Don't ruin your teeth with products containing, bleach, abrasives and other chemicals. Not only do they damage the surface, they reduce the strength of your enamel long term. Just eat a good diet with little sugar, tea, coffee and other staining foods and I guarantee that your teeth will look whiter within a couple of weeks.
Reply:I have just got Theramed Express White.. my dentist recommended it.. (till my new false-rs are ready)

Reply:Those whitening product are lod of bull ****, I always have to believe that shity stuff even so it's not true it makes the teeth much worst. I tried Colgate whitening and thinking that it would make my very white as an angel.
Reply:My dentist told me that any tooth whitening products sold over the counter have to be mild, so their whitning effect is limited. If you really want to whiten your teeth I reccomend asking your dentist for advice. It may cost more, but the effect will be better. The 2 main things that stain teeth are red wine %26amp; coffee, so always brush your teeth after drinking these.
Reply:just take them out and steep them in bleach for half an hour. that should bring them up like new.
Reply:Tipp-Ex.
Reply:Clorox and a brillo pad.
Reply:You can try mixing salt and soda together where it makes a paste, and use that and see if that helps. They have a toothpaste that is for coffee drinkers and smokers, just reg. type of toothpaste, but that works. The best is to get a bleach kit from the dentist, they fit you with a plastic gum cover formed to your teeth, but I don't see why you just could not get a guard that the football players use, you put it in either cold water or hot, and it forms to your teeth, and then buy the bleach from the dentist. You just put it in there and wear it for a couple of hours each day, that should do it better than over the counter. I am sure the bleach paste is not that expensive, it is just when they have to do a mold of your teeth and make a guard for your teeth. WE are talking about cheap, and the best, so I am not a dentist, so just take it for what it is worth. The over the counter things like has been said, may not work very well. I don't think the paste from the dentist is very expensive.

Reply:After trying lots of brands like you, I discovered Arm and Hammer (mentioned by someone else before). It's actually quite good. My teeth are starting to look a bit whiter and shinier! It's about £3 or so. The best there is so far. (My dentist told me Pearl Drops can be quite harmful so stopped using that.)
Reply:Bicarbonate of soda is supposedly good. Boots do a range of teeth whitening products which friends of mine swear by. They have all sorts of toothpastes but i've heard better results from the teeth bleaching products they sell.

What is a good teeth whitening product?

I'm looking for a good product to whiten my teeth for a cheap price but not harm them. I don't want to bleach them because I heard it is really bad for the enamel of your teeth.

Any suggestions of what whitening products are good?

What is a good teeth whitening product?
Hmm bad for enamel? Shouldn't worse then what some dumb people do and brush their teeth with baking soda haha

i ordered from http://www.teeth-whitening.com.au a few weeks back its at home gel - i did some researching and the same active ingredient used at the dental office is in those gels. so i didnt see whyi should pay 500$ for the procedure when i can do it at home.

anyway my enamel is fine - also you can use reminerlization gel to help enamel after bleaching if you are worried

Are there any household products I can use to whiten my teeth?

I'm guessing bleach is out. I've heard something about using baking soda as a whitening agent. Any ideas or recommendations about the store-bought kinds?

Are there any household products I can use to whiten my teeth?
Yes. Once or twice a week, take a capful of Benzoyl Peroxide and brush your teeth with it after using the toothpaste. Not only does it help whiten your teeth, but it also kills bacteria in between gums and teeth. You don't want to swallow any though, and your gums will tingle, but it whitens teeth great. My mother taught me this trick, they use it all the time in nursing homes for the elderly.
Reply:I know that baking soda, like you mentioned, is pretty good at whitening teeth.
Reply:baking soda and water till its paste n brush

What teeth whitening product do you best recomend for a teen?

My question is based upon YOUR recomendations i.e. products that worked for you....

i have braces...i want WHITER teeth....is there any product that whitens your teeth when you have braces AND works....

if it is a toothpaste tell me how long it takes to notice a difference....

What teeth whitening product do you best recomend for a teen?
I would not try to whiten your teeth with braces on. You will have stains from where your braces are. Best is to wait until you get them off. I've used Rembrandt 2 hour white and it worked well for me.
Reply:I don't have braces but I did have stained teeth and I started using crest white effects toothpaste and saw results in just a month, I use one ment for the day and a special one for night that really cleans and whitens deep while your sleeping and not consuming anything to rinse it off your teeth! I really like it alot!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:i wouldn't use anything other than a whitening toothpaste while you have braces on otherwise you will have dingy looking squares on all your teeth when your braces come off that will be way more noticeable than any discoloration that is currently on them.

when you have your braces taken off then you can begin using something along the lines of crest whitestrips. they are really the next best thing to professional whitening and dentist reccommended.
Reply:my sons dentist does not recommend any whiteners until the age of 16. however, corey used whitnening toothpaste while he had his braces on and it did not leave stains when he had them removed-however the toothpaste did whiten his teeth.

some folks just have a yellowish tinge as part of your gentics. no matter what you use, you will still have some sort of yellowing.

there is also a new issue regarding whiteners in rinses and gels....it can actually make your mouth very sore and rough-as if your mouth is chapped. it makes whatever you eat burn and this is on the uprise because the ingredients in them are very hard on the very tender skin in the mouth-this includes the tongue. the hydrogen peroxide is the main culprit. doctors are seeing this often in practice these days because folks use a whitening gel, toothpaste and rinse. they are over using the products trying to achieve something that may not be possible due to gentics.

ask your dentist what he recommends after you have your braces off.

good luck!
Reply:colgate whitening formula, work wonders
Reply:If you're still a teenager I wouldn't use anything at all...you can't have yellowed your teeth much in a short period of time to warrant using something to whiten them. And with braces - you'll have funky squares on them because the squares will be normal color and the surrounding area will be extra white.
Reply:It is fine for a teenager to whiten his/her teeth. Just remember not to use any strong whitening products such as Crest whitestrips supreme, premium plus and premium. Crest whitestrips classic which is the weakest model will be best for you.

Best Teeth Whitening Product/ Toothpaste?

Out of all the ones you've tried or know people who've had great results what are good teeth whitening products? And I know there are also some teeth whitening toothpastes. Any good ones? Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Best Teeth Whitening Product/ Toothpaste?
pepsodent
Reply:just be careful using the whitening gels. they can actually turn your teeth yellow if you use them too much. i would recommend having it done by a dentist..
Reply:For people who wants immediate results your option is teeth whitening treatment through laser it may cost expensive that having teeth whitening products or home kits, the procedure is being done by a professional – dentist and immediate results are achieved.

If you are into whitening your teeth but the cost of procedure matters, then you may opt for teeth whitening products or home kits. Teeth whitening products and home kits are available over the counter. Having these products also attain professional results over time in a convenient and efficient way.

Choosing the right teeth whitening procedure depends on your preferences whether you will go for laser teeth whitening or have take home kits or teeth whitening products. But certain patients were reported to experience tooth sensitivity after a laser teeth whitening procedure. But there are teeth whitening products that are made from natural ingredients which is better and effective in getting whitier teeth.

What teeth whitening product REALLY works?

Do you know of any good teeth whitening products that you can find off the shelfs of supermarket, that really works???

I see alot of those whitening products in the supermarket or chemist they come in all forms like toothpaste, or put on cream, gel mouth guide.

I have a feeling that ***NONE of them works after you bought them home and try it and they're all bunch of CONS.

What teeth whitening product REALLY works?
At-home whitening products do work for some people. If your teeth are yellowish the product will whiten your teeth. If your teeth are grayish, the whitening products don't work. The yellowish color is the result of surface stains. Grayish-color teeth cannot be whitening with at-home products. Grayish-color teeth cannot be whitening by a dentist. Some people have grayish-color teeth because their mothers took a specific antibiotic while pregnant. That antibiotic is no longer prescribed for pregnant woman.

To whiten yellowish-color teeth and get the best results have a dental check up and your teeth cleaned before using any at-home products. At-home whitening products shouldn't be used if you have any unfilled cavities.

Listerine has a new product (a strip) that has gotten OK reviews. The Listerine Whitening Rinse doesn't work because the liquid isn't in your mouth long enough. Whitening toothpaste will whiten your teeth a bit over time but you will get much better results with the strips or mouth trays. Crest and Rembrandt have some good products

For the best and fastest results have your teeth whitened by a dentist. What a dentist can do in an hour takes weeks with the at-home kits. Although the cost of one package of an at-home kit is less expensive than having a dentist do it, consider the fact that you will probably need to purchase multiple at-home products.
Reply:I've used Crest White Strips and they do a pretty good job, It takes a few weeks of daily wearing and they are kinda messy but I have noticed a difference in the color of my teeth.
Reply:I just brush my teeth with baking soda. Not the best tasting, but it works and doesn't cost a lot. Just put the baking soda on your toothpaste of choice and brush. After a few days, you'll start seeing a difference.
Reply:crest white strips take only 5 minutes of ur day but its worth it. the results r guaranteed

What product really whitens the teeth?

out of all the teeth whitening products which one works the best? the crest whitestrip?? or does it depend on the sensitivity of a persons teeth....well for the crest whitestrips do you gotta wear that until you run out? or is it a wear for one week then you get whiter teeth for 12 months then after 12 months you can resume wearing it again?

What product really whitens the teeth?
the following products are good for teeth whitening:

1. Listerine Whitening (Use before brush your teeth)

2. Maximum Teeth Whitening (http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com)
Reply:Whoa. A slew of questions...

All whitening products work. Whitening can cause severe pain. It's not recommended for people who have receeding gums or sensitive teeth. So check with your dentist at your next cleaning and exam and get their opinion.

Crest Whitestrips are messy, don't cover all of your teeth, and have to be used regularly in order to be effective. Getting something like Zoom from your dentist is costly but more effective.

You can also rinse your mouth twice a day for at least a minute with Hydrogen Peroxide (found in any drugstore). It's *the* ingredient in all whitening products. Doesn't taste great and minty like Crest Whitening Rinse, but it's the *exact same thing*.

I have used various things, and all of them made my teeth extrmely unberably senstitive........ except for GoSmile.

I recommend it from experience, it is pricey but cheaper if you order online ... i order on ebay.

There are better teeth whiterns that your dentist can offer, but they are much much more expensive.

Gosmile costs me at most 140 for the entire year or more....and thats in inciments of 70 dollars, and then 30/30 for the touchup kits.. thats a huge diffrence from forking over 500 bucks in the dental office.

Try gosmile, or try that britesmile pen. Those seem to cause the least amount of sensitivity for me.

At Home Laser Teeth Whitening Product Help?

Hi guys I'm just wondering if anyone has tried the AT HOME version for Laser teeth whitening, the price is like a fifth of that of having it done professionally at the dentist but the products claim to have the same effects. The product comes with all the gels you need and the actual laser light attachement, I'm wondering if this is the same strength of the professional laser system. Does anyone know if this is true before I make a costly mistake with little effect at all?

I have had my teeth lasered once before by Britesmile in July of last year and they seem to have discoloured again slightly, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the UK too.

I want BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT white Hollywood teeth and if at home laser whitening is good then I will purchase. Any other ideas on how to achieve this wouldn't go amiss either!!!

Thanks!

At Home Laser Teeth Whitening Product Help?
Well, there are lasers and there are LASERS.

Perhaps you'll be just as well off using a laser pointer, because dental lasers are powerful beasties costing megabucks. Their intention is to activate the bleach by releasing H2O2 in a faster and higher fashion than home bleaching. You're not going to get a laser like that thru the mail, not to mention the safety considerations.

In any case, home bleaching has been found in studies to give better and longer-lasting effects than in-surgery bleaching.
Reply:I would not risk it, certainly until I had at least spoken to and seen the results of some one who had used it. I had mine done at the dentist. It was done over a period of two weeks and cost £200.00. for everything. I now have the whiter than white smile, that makes people wear their shades when they look at me.
Reply:The words 'at home' and 'laser' .... DONT belong together!

Do the words..."You'll put your eye out" sound familiar? hahahaha
Reply:Hi

if you go on e bay and search for sunshine smiles there is a guy selling 35% bleaching kits for home use from America takes about a week to get here but very good, follow the instructions carefully though, this stuff is professional strength and will sting ya gums if ya use too much, have tried the professional laser in Thailand with outstanding results but gotta say the home version is not as good could be the strength of the gel though hope this helps

mike
Reply:Firstly, where are you getting this "home laser whitening kit?" It will surely not have a fully functional laser with it, as these cost over 3 thousand pounds. It will probably just have a UV light with it!

Professionally, i doubt it will have the desired affect which you want which is BRIGHT BRIGHT HOLLYWOOD SMILES. These cannot always be achieved by merely bleaching teeth alone. Some people opt for veneers however these do involve cutting sound tooth tissue away in order to make room for the veneers! There is another technique which i employ at my practice and it has kept most of the demanding white obsessed patients happy! and YES it does involve using a 5 Watt DIODE Laser.

my practice website is www.parmardental.co.uk if you have any further questions just drop me a line

if not best of luck getting that hollywood smile

Is there a way to whiten my teeth in just a few days? Without products.?

Essentially, no. Sorry! Sephora does sell a lipstick that is supposed to make them look whiter....

Is there a way to whiten my teeth in just a few days? Without products.?
yes. in fact. in one hour. Laser treatment. If you're saying the "cheap, natural" way, I don't know.
Reply:Use equal amounts of Baking Soda and Salt to clean teeth and ofcourse use a sharp edged tool or a seed of paddy to remove stains where the finger or the brush don't reach. Take care not to hurt the gums and toungue.
Reply:Without products? So what would that leave you? hehe. The only way to whiten your teeth immediately is to go to the dentist and have them bleach them professionally.
Reply:Cut out tooth shapes from paper and super glue them on to your teeth.

How do I get my teeth healthier without the cost of expensive products?

I brush 4 times a day, yet they are STILL yellow!

How do I get my teeth healthier without the cost of expensive products?
Stop things like smoking and drinking dark beverages that stain teeth such as coffee, tea and dark colas. Also, make sure you have good oral hygiene and are brushing and flossing reguarly. Make sure to see your dentist every 6 months for a routine exam and cleaning. You can speak with your dentist too about a good whitening system.
Reply:Stop smoking! It does the body NO good...

The only safe way to remove that is by whitening products.

It does work. If you smoke, STOP! It will turn yellow again.. and just as fast.
Reply:brush your teeth with a neem twig twice a day. u'll have bright sparkling white teeth in 3-4 days
Reply:use a whitening toothpaste like crest total plus whitening, and drink green tea everyday. Green tea contains fluoride that helps trengthen and whiten teeth.
Reply:you want healthier teeth and i'm assuming gums. You need to brush you teeth at least two times a day, after breakfast and before you go to bed. You should also substitute a toothpaste with a mixture of peroxide and baking soda. Maybe rinse with Listerine or some sort of germ killer before you go to bed too. Your teeth and gums should be healthier if you stick with it. Eat some food with calcium. If you don't like milk, there are some other foods like broccoli. (I hope I spelled that right)

I grind my teeth at night, any suggestions or good products to use?
Go into the sports section of your local Wal-Mart and buy a mouth gard boil and fit into your mouth.. This is cheaper then your dentist.. Works just the same.
Reply:Get a mouthpiece, or you'll ruin your teeth. Talk to your dentist.
Reply:It is acalled bruxism - habitual grinding of teeth..

I arms your teeth by wear of all teeth and later on u will feel sensitivity to cold and hot fluids.. It mainly occurs due to emotional stress..

The preventive measure for this is to wear a night guard prepared from dentist. It not only protect ur teeth but also distribute muscle forces so will prevent teeth damage
Reply:I have friends who do this and they have mouth guards from the dentist that helps.
Reply:Get a sports-style mouth guard. My brother had this problem and got one of those custom-fit teeth guards at Sports Authority. He just had to boil it for a while then pop it in and bite down and it would mold to his teeth.

After using it for a while he didn't have any problems and actually quit grinding.

Try a little bicarb of soda or baking powder
Reply:acetic acid does the trick
Reply:Baking soda works pretty well.
Reply:Never heard of using vinegar, but if you are going to use bicarb be careful as I heard that it takes the enamel off your teeth.
Reply:I wouldnt use it! But, try Pearl Drops, I think its great!
Reply:Start off by getting your teeth cleaned at the dentist and then regular cleaning afterwards should keep them white
Reply:My dad swears by bicarbonate of soda. He's used it to clean his teeth for years! We all used to laugh at him and then suddenly they started making toothpaste with bicarb in it to whiten teeth :o0Maybe my dad does 'know it all' afterall haha!
Reply:No, not at all vinegar is acid and will etch your teeth with time, eroding the enamel and making them subject to decay.
Reply:Never heard of that only know bicarb of soda on a wet toothbrush is good for whitening
Reply:I would not use vinegar as it is an acid and it would be the same as bushing your teeth after drinking juice. As the acid softens the enamel not good. Try sodium bicarb

Are there any over the counter type products for people who grind their teeth when they sleep?

I had this problem! I was advised by my dentist to get a mouth guard,.. at WalMart in the sporting goods section. After nightly use for a few weeks,.. it seemed to break my habit! They only cost 2 or 3 dollars. You drop them in boiling water a few seconds, then put it in your mouth and bite down. It makes an impression and you drop it in cold water. Wear it each nite and see what happens! Good luck! Worked for me!

Go to the tore and u can find a thing that u put in your mouth at night to make u stop grinding your teeth

Reply:there's nothing someone can buy to make you stop grinding your teeth. You can help the damage to your teeth from the grinding by getting something called an occlusal guard. I have seen them in wal-mart but going to the dentist is really the best.
Reply:Yeah, its a product out called MouthGuard. It's like wearing one of those mouthguards that u would play sports in but its clear and softer. It decreases the pressure of u grinding ur teeth.

What can you do before, after and during eating cheesy products to get it to stop sticking on your teeth?

So I was just eating some mac and cheese[I did not use the cheese and i have cheese hanging from my mouth at every angle.lol.

No smart answers like--dont eat cheese and brush your teeth. ok.

I was just bored and wondering about it.

Smiles to all :)

What can you do before, after and during eating cheesy products to get it to stop sticking on your teeth?
I personally chew gum after eating sticky/cheesy products, because it keeps your saliva active, which cleans your teeth and breaks up the sticky food in your mouth. Other than that, I would say eat your portion of cheesy food first, then finish with the rest of the meal if possible. Hope this helps. :)
Reply:How about chewing gum, or eating an apple?
Reply:Don't chew. Just swallow it whole.
Reply:I don't get the point you r asking.

If you want whiter teeth visit your dentist for a whitening kit. Pharmacy kits never work they just rip you off. Or stop drinking tea, coffee and wine (if your old enough) as they are all bad stainer's for your teeth. Whitening your teeth can also cause sensitivity.
Reply:ive heard using a peroxide rinse[mixing equal amounts of peroxide with water] will help with whitening, and also helps in cleaning your mouth.

My teeth chip easily, is it safe to use over the counter whitening products?

I have a number of chips on my top teeth that have happened over a number of years. I dont know how half of them got there, but i would really like whiter teeth and want to know if i am going to do more damage or leave it possible for more chips.

My teeth chip easily, is it safe to use over the counter whitening products?
You should go to a dentist to see if you have a genetic disorder that reduces enamel hardness. You might want to use more fluoride in addition to your fluoridated toothpaste to help strengthen and protect your teeth. ACT is pretty good. If you just want to stick with fluoridated toothpaste, Crest ProHealth is good. Your dentist may prescribe something stronger too.

As far as the whitening, you can use whitening products but just don't leave them on too long or you might develop highly sensitive teeth. Also, if you overuse whitening products, your teeth can turn blue, much like over bleaching white laundry.

Everytime I eat sugary foods my teeth feel really dirty? What's are the best dental products to use?

Best tooth paste is Mentadent floride with Baking Soda and Peroxide. Best mouth wash is Aim. Best for removing things between the teeth is Doctor's Soft Touch Brush Picks.
Reply:Aquafresh-Extreme Clean. Weather you like minty or fruity all of the flavors work the same. This toothpaste is foamy and leaves your teeth feeling clean for hours. NO MORE FUZZY TEETH!! I worked for a dentist for years and this is the best toothpaste that we could find. Hope this helps you.

Best mouthwash: Listerene

Best Floss: I don't know! They are all the same to me!

What you're feeling is the bacterial plaque growing on your teeth!

By eating sugary foods, you are helping the bacteria to thrive. The more bacteria, the more bacterial plaque that develops on your teeth.

What products should you use? A tooth brush, toothpaste, and floss would be perfect. But you already knew that, didn't you!

take care
Reply:try to avoids drink or eat anything that contains coloring and leaves stains such as coffee.
Reply:Unless you stop srinking red wine, coffee, soft drinks, berry juice, stop eating berries, and any other stainning foods, you must keep using whitening product. It's a drag but it's a necessary evil if you want bright white teeth.
Reply:I love Crest white strips. I use them once a year, but it is adviced every 6 months. They work well and you only have to use them for a week (they have a 2 wk treatment too).

Goodluck
Reply:Stop drinking soda, coffee, and tea. Don't smoke. Do not eat anything with caramel coloring (including ice creams, gravy, and anything else that is pretty much brown...) My advice: use the whitening toothpaste. It's easier!
Reply:this method tastes like crap, but it works. get a small bowl (i use the dosage cup from a bottle of nyquil) put about 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in it, and just enough hydrogen peroxide in it to make a paste slightly thinner than toothpaste. use your toothbrush to mix it up.

i use this in the morning, and regular tothpaste in the evening. it also does wonders for your breath - i brush with it way up high and down low on my gums, too, and don't forget your tongue, either. by far, this is the cheapest way to go , and it works just as well as the fancy overpriced popular whitening products.
Reply:Since we are in the modern technology stages, we are using toothpaste to whiten our teeth. You know during the middle stages, people are using mint leaves to whiten their teeth. They are powdering it using a mortar and pestle then putting on their fingers then brush it to their teeth. Thats the other way to whiten your teeth.
Reply:Well, have you tried the whitening mouthwash, yet? Use that instead of the other mouthwash... it also gets rid of the gingivitis causing bacteria (I sound like an advertisement, but it's what I use.... there's no way I will stop drinking my occasional french-vanilla)
Reply:Well, first of all it is never easy to have perfect teeth! Secondly, using all different products could make matters worse. If you use a product and you see results keep using it. It can make a difference in your teeth!! Try using baking soda when brushing your teeth, it may seem nasty but it works and it is soooo much easier then using whitening strips or gels. Hope it works for you!
Reply:Hai,

Strawberries or hydrogen peroxide can be used for whitening teeth. Try brushing 3 times a day. Make it a must to brush your teeth every day after meals try Arm and hammer toothpaste or Aquafresh works great. For more details, please check on our website.

What products in the Philippines can be used to whiten teeth?

i still cannot find Crest premium whitestrips and aquafresh... i think they can only be bought in the US... is there any alternative aside from using baking soda? coz it's said that baking soda is not good for our teeth...

thanks!

What products in the Philippines can be used to whiten teeth?
use baking soda...i used it with my daughter's teeth and it whitens, i just dont do it often. anyway brushing one's teeth also with toothpaste has side effects..i am not sure what it is though. and mind you they say that if you had brushed your teeth at night before sleeping and you had not eaten anything until you woke up, do not brush your teeth upon getting out of bed just use some mouthwash to freshen up your breath and do the brushing right after eating.

Reply:well there are plenty of junk on the market that can whiten teeth but in about 15-20 the results will show how many people lost their teeth from using the products...my daughter used one of the "best brands" on the market...her teeth hurt for twenty four hours...she couldn't sleep from the pain...

you have to get that this means the chemicals penitrated the enamel of the teeth and weakens them and the damage is permanent...arm %26amp; harmmer is the safest, cheapest, and there are NO SIDE Effects...it just tastes salty....so be safe and use the baking soda...its in all the tooth pastes with out the junk...if you brush your tongue too then the bad breath goes away too...its not the paste its the brushing that works...Native Americans used a plant...my mom when a child use the ashes in the fireplace...so arm and hammer isn't bad...just get over it...

How to make our teeth whiten & clean?? Are there any products that we can use??

After brushing, apply Colgate's Simply White and just leave it on for about 20 minutes twice a day. It may taste %26amp; feel a bit weird %26amp; strange in your mouth if you've never used any kinda of whitening products before but you will soon get used to it. You may also experience a bit of tingling sensation on your teeth but just like any other whitening product, it's best to consult your dentist if you have any problems with tooth sensitivity or gum irritation and/or need any professional advice/consultation.

The clear whitening gel is enough for a twice a day application for up to 2 weeks. I've tried it and the results were pretty good. It helped to remove all the coffee %26amp; tea stains and my teeth feels much cleaner, whiter %26amp; smoother. Just follow up with another round of treatment after 6 months if you want to maintain that sparkling white teeth of yours.

Give it a go and see if it's suitable for you. Good Luck :)

What are some good over the counter products to help make my teeth more white?/techniques? Thanks!?

ive heard that strawberries, yes strawberries, are a natural teeth whitening. just brush them on your teeth. do not brush your teeth after eating fruits or veggies (not right away) because it can damage you teeth. i think thats the case more so with citrus fruits like oranges or lemons.

my aunt swears by the strawberries though and she does have white teeth!

crest white strips
Reply:crest white strips and crest whitening pre-rinse mouth wash
Reply:Whitening toothpaste
Reply:whitening strips and toothpaste. I recommend Crest for the strips, adn arm %26amp; hammer for the toothpaste... However,i went to the dentist last week and she said not to use the tooth paste every day because it's ALOT of wear adn tear on your teeth. and the same with the strips. She said to use them HALF of what it says to do... and every other day on the tooth paste...
Reply:Crest white strips, buy the most expensive one.
Reply:If you go to your local dental surgery and ask if they have any opalescence. Opalescence is a very good whitening toothpaste, but don't use is all the time use it for a week then go back to your old toothpaste and just keep alternating them. But there are lots of things you can try for whiter teeth

Does anyone know any good whiting products too use on sensitive teeth?

I had the Zoom Whiting done;but I was in the worst pain ever!

Does anyone know any good whiting products too use on sensitive teeth?
Once a week brush like normal them brush with baking soda them swish with peroxide then floss it works great! My mom has done it sice she was 13 and she has brilliant white teeth and has never had a cavity
Reply:The Crest white strips worked well for me. The only thing to remember is that you have to maintain the whitening afterwards. It was painless other than a funny taste for half an hour.
Reply:Try the Go Smile system at gosmile.com.
Reply:a soft tooth brush
Reply:All whitening products can cause more sensitivity if your teeth are sensitive in the first place as your teeth dehydrate during the whitening process. If you want to have your teeth whitened and you have sensitive teeth then you should use a product called tooth mousse for a week before you bleach as it helps reduce sensitivity. Do not use it the day before or the day of the whitening process. It is a good product to use after whitening also as it not only reduces sensitivity but it reduces the acid in your saliva (which causes a lot of sensitivity) and floods the teeth with calcium and phosphates. I have done my own sensitivity and acid reduction research on this product with various patients and the results have been really good.
Reply:I have extrememly sensitive teeth. My dentist told me to avoid all whitening products!!!! I was given a prescription toothpaste by him that you use once a day- it is called Flouridex. In the past week of using it, I have seen an improvement already. I really would not recommend having the whitening done!! It is not good for the enamel!!
Reply:sensodine toothpaste works best.
Reply:any whitening you do on your teeth is going to make them sensitive - especially to the cold. sorry.

Teeth whitening. dentist or in home products, which one's better?

You pay for what you get. A hydrogen peroxide gel is used to whiten the teeth. A dentist can use up to 15% gel. This gets in the crevices of the teeth and cleans everything from the poors. This cost a couple hundred buck. If you get the zoom (blue light) it whiten instantly but only lasts about 30-60 days. Home strips are alot cheaper and do a good job, but not as good as the whiting you get done at the doc.s office.

You can also swish wish normal perodie (3%) that you use everyday. Not the best tasting and kind of bubbly (You will get use to it) but do it daily and soon you will have sparkleys. Keep using it and they will stay white. I do it for 30days about everyother month. Get complments all the time.

Teeth whitening. dentist or in home products, which one's better?
At home products are probably cheaper, but the dentist is better able to determine what whitening treatment is best for your teeth. I would consult them and see what they think.
Reply:what about Ur money ? the dentist is much expensive and much better than home products..... u can go first time to dentist then care for Ur teeth by home products that is much better..
Reply:Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://www.aches.in/toothwhitening.html
Reply:teeth whitening in the dentist's office can be very luxurious but not all results are safe. if your budget is short, there are also affordable, easy to use, convenient, safe and effective teeth whitener that can give you professional white teeth results in a matter of days. visit http://www.maximumteethwhitening.com for more tips on getting whiter teeth.

For home remedies.

Mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to form toothpaste. Brush the teeth regularly with this paste. It will remove all stains in a month.

Use bicarbonate of soda 5 minutes before brushing the teeth with normal toothpaste in the morning. This is a good home remedy for teeth whitening.

Rubbing the bark of walnut tree on the teeth helps in removing all stains from the teeth.

Strawberries are considered natural teeth whiteners. Rubbing the teeth with strawberries daily will remove all the stains.

If you would like a suggestion on tooth whitening gel, here's something for you!

Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel (about $18.00) allows you to remove stains while you sleep. The tooth whitening system has a fresh, wintergreen flavor. After fourteen days of sleeping with this product on your teeth, you will wake up to a vibrant smile. You should see results in two days, although there are reports of tooth whitening results in one night

What over the counter whiteness products really work on older teeth?

New Crest White strips are now made for older people...look for the "renewal" version. You must do them daily, though to keep up with the program and see full results. Also, your dentist may recommend whitening products but at a much more expensive price ($300 and up). Toothpastes with whitening help battle future stains but do little to get rid of older stains. Drink coffee with straws along with tea and soda.

What over the counter whiteness products really work on older teeth?
Crest has a new product out for that specific purpose. It's a tad pricey, but still cheaper than a trip to the dentist. Plus if you visit their website you get a coupon for seven bucks off.
Reply:no over the counter, but they are coming out w/ some soon...but for now, ask your dentist about GC Tion made by GC... it is for aged teeth...hope I was of some help
